So my sun visor broken on my 2019 Ram 1500, for no reason at al. I have read the post on reddit and 5thgenrams, so I am well aware this is a known issue and I also know how most people are fixing the issue - so my post isn't about how it broke or how to fix it.

I have not seen anyone discuss it on Reddit or 5thgenrams - just suggestions to use the metal brackets found on Amazon. I would like to know, do these brackets tighten the visors when using to block or side window OR is the visor loose and allowed to swing without tension? I have seen only a few comments on Amazon reviews, but most are praising this fix but only a a minimal amount of post discussing the lack of tension when not locked in place.

I have ordered the JOYTUTUS aluminum repair kit, which on Amazon Canada seems to have the most reviews and is a one piece design, where some of the kits are 2 piece designs. What I mean is, the recessed part where the factory torx bolts are some of the brackets have a raised part for the bracket to sit inside the recessed part and some have 2 pieces, the part that sits in the recess and then the bracket that holds the visor stem.

If it doesn't work to keep tension, then I guess it's off to the wrecking yard or dealer to purchase the replacement part.

TL:DR - Do these bracket kits keep the tension when the visor is unlocked and off to the side or do they just keep the stem attached?

Is this not sort of idiotic?

The product I was reviewing at the word 'SHIT' on it, so in my review I just posted exactly what the product says on it, just stating it needs punctuation.

Why is it that the product can have swear words, but yet my review can't. Is it because they only show pictures of it should 'shit' and not actually the written words on the product page. It just seems a little asinine.

Well after my post today about the bike lock and electric dirt bike which was switched after getting the the bike lock and the fact that I have no scored anything big since going Gold June 13th and that I didn't really mind if I only got small mediocre. Well, I just hit the jackpot, man I am so excited and can't believe it. I was yelling and saying I can't believe this, what a rush that was.

I just happened to refresh my RFY and there they were, I saw the price and just clicked for checkout. I was worried that I could loose them because I had to change my address to my trailer park because I'm not home. Could you loose RFY for taking too long or does it stay for a decent amount of time? I know others would be ordering as well if they have them in their RFY.

Anyhow my first big score, and it just happened today after all my previous post. Man do I feel lucky.

From Bike Lock to Electric Dirtbike

I don't normally make it a habit of going back and looking at my past orders unless I want to reorder something I really liked, but today I was simple counting my orders for my current evaluation period. Imagine the surprise on my fact when I read "Misodo Electric Dirt Bike, 4500-Watt Peak Power, 65KM/H.......", I was like I did not order an electric dirt bike but man would I have loved one - can I trade up lol ;)

This has got to be the wildest switcharoo that I have seen myself, so far. I ordered a $9.99 cheap cable bike lock and now myself (and 10+ other vine reviews) have reviews attached to this product - what a bunch of BS. What's even better is there are non-vine reviews both before and after I (and many other viners) ordered the lock yet the regular reviews are for the bike.

I'm not the product/seller police, like I said I don't go into my orders/reviews just to check if product pages still match what I orders - I just happen to notice this today when counting orders in my current evaluation period.

Should I report the seller or product page? or just let it be since the reviews stat what I reviewed. I just hate it because it bumps up the star rating and some buyers simply go only by star rating and this gives the current product a bump on reviews. Sure, there are buyers who will see right through this after reading reviews that don't match. I guess it's the potentials buyers responsibility at the end of the day to read the reviews and not solely depend on star ratings.

What were some of the most surprising switcharoos that you have encountered? I'm sure there are more surprising switches done on expensive products or even some odd ones.

So I ordered an item that arrived yesterday and today I was getting ready to leave for my trailer and Amazon delivered a package (nothing was being delivered today, at my house atleast - just my trailer) and I opened the package and it was a repeat of my delivery from yesterday.

Anyone have any idea was the rules are on selling the second item and keeping the orginal for 6 months?

I mean, I'm keeping the one item I ordered and the other one was obviously a system glitch so it's not technically what I ordered as there was no order of the same 2 items.

So I ordered a shower squeegee the other day, I received what I had order (originally) but the product has changed to something completely different. There are no other variations of this product on the their product page.

What I order - handheld squeegee for $8.99

What is on product page - squeegee with extendable pole and microfiber cloth (all-in-one) for $25.89

Should I review the product I got and rate it like one star? or,

Should I have Amazon remove it from my list of products?

My concern is, doing a review on a product that is no where near the same will bump up their review rating (or lower it depending on rating given). Even the picture of the product on my order page has changed from the original small handheld unit to the new telescoping model with an add microfiber cloth part.

When I click the product it says "you ordered another variant of this item" when I click the link it just takes me to the newer product.

The last vine reviews from this product are from April 2026 with the current product. Did the seller just sell a cheaper variation to boost their review rating as a simple handheld squeegee is easy to review and most likely will result in 5-star ratings instead of the telescoping model which can potentially have lower star ratings as there are more moving parts to it.

What's you take? Should I report this and have it removed or give it a one star rating? I'm mix because I got the product that I saw but now the product page has changed.

So I completed my new evaluation period on Saturday (I'm Gold!!), but I carried over 6 products (some were delivered (some were in Awaiting Reviews (2) and some were delivered to close to my evaluation day to be put into the list) and some were delivered after my evaluation period). I ended with 98%.

I read that some people were saying the products that were transfer into the new period didn't count but that's not what the Vine states on my dashboard when the evaluation period was being done. So I just did two reviews, so we shall see when they are approved what happens.

Anyhow, I know if I was in my previous evaluation period and had a lower percentage where it may effect going gold or not - then I would want these items removed BUT I'm already in the new period so it may not be a big deal but I am going to ask anyway.

One of the products are ordered May 15th, it has not arrived and tracking states "delivery date currently unavailable". I see the tracking states it arrived in my area today, June 16th so I suspect it will be delivered soon, maybe. It was delayed from May 27th to June 4th in the US.

The other product was supposed to be delivered between July 4th and July 12th, but it hasn't even been shipped yet according to the tracking information. The product page just states it's currently unavailable (for purchase).

If both products don't show up, should I worry about having Vine cancel them or at the very least removing them from my orders list. I know for stats this really only would reflect on my evaluation period that has ended (only the reviews in the new period would reflect from these products). In a way it seems like it wouldn't affect me one way or another.

What are your thoughts?

BTW: No good items yet for me, but it's only been 3 days really.

So in 38 days I will most likely be hitting gold since joining almost 6 months ago and I'm wondering what everyone does as far as stats and "awaiting reviews" go.

I have not ordered anything in 4 days, seems there is nothing worth ordering and it doesn't seem like there have been drops, or atleast the times are changed or all over the place and I'm missing them. Either way, I ordered one thing 4 days ago. This has allowed me to finish my reviews, except one.

Right now I'm sitting at 184 ordered, 99% reviewed, 92% media, all excellent insightfulness and 95% for reviewed within 90-day metric (I calculate all of this in my spreadsheet). I'm acutally at 98% for reviewed but with my submission today (1 review) and my other item yet to be reviewed I will be 99% once it's updated on Amazon. I also have one item yet to be delivered, but coming Saturday and it's a super easy product (toothbrush)

I have heard some people leave some items in their awaiting reviews to boost their percentages in the new evaluation period. I always do my reviews, hence the 99% so would I really need a "head start" or does it matter if I hit 100% reviewed.

I'm sure I could order 10 items and still be good, haven't worked out the math on that.

I am on the hunt for a helmet, I have two Shoei bike helmets but at 5lbs I want something a little lighter and with a wider FOV. I've narrowed it down with my reason. Looking to see what others think is best.

Bell MX9 Adventure with ECE 22.06 - the helmet weighs 3.74lbs so over a lbs light then my current helmets. Seems to have the biggest FOV compared to the others. I love the idea of drop down facesheild rather then wearing goggles. I like wearing my sunglasses, so it seems perfect. Cost $279 to $306CDN depending on where I purchase. Facesheild can be removed to save some weight if needed.

Fox Proframe RS with ECE 22.06 - the helmet weighs 1.81lbs so over 3 lbs lighter then my helmets and almost 2lbs lighter then the MX9 Adventure but no drop down shield. I don't know what goggles weigh but then I'm limited to wearing my sunglasses. Cost about $400 to $525CDN depending on colour's and size. Has the BOA system instead of adding extra padding.

Fox Proframe - the helmet weighs about 1.65lbs and used padding for fitment. Cost about $309CDN.

I don't ride daily and I don't always ride at 45km/hr. I sit around 25km/hr and riding on the road. I more of an occasional rider for fun when I'm bored, I just got the scooter at the end of last year so I may get more riding done this summer.

So I have just switched from Ozempic to Mounjaro after my doctor suggesting it as my weight loss has been in plateau state for some time. She orginally wanted me to go with Zepbound because they were worried my insurance wouldn't approve it as my levels were fine (was diabetic but have since returned back to normal). Anyhow I remained adamant that I wanted mounjaro and it was just approved. I will be taking my first dose on Sunday to stay on the same schedule as my ozempic.

First, the pen is definitely different - the cork screw style will take some time to get used too.

I was worried that it goes 2.5 for 4 weeks, then 5 for 4 weeks and then 10 for 4 weeks and if needed up to 15 afterwards. I am used to 2mg doses for on ozempic but the pharmacist says I can't think like this because it's different medication.

Any how I was 280lbs (5'11, 44 year old male) and was able to get to 225/230 lbs but it's been this way for months, so I'm hoping this will help.

Anyone else make the switch? How were the results?
