Is it a warning that it's gonna die anytime now?

So suddenly I see a quick nearly imperceivable flash of a super thin horizontal line appear and disappear. It only does it once and not again throughout the movie or shows. It's really quick and you may not even catch it. Once when watching a stream on Netflix. Just once. After I finished. I switched to HULU to watch a show and it did it again, barely catching it, just once. I rewind the scenes each time and it doesn't do it again. I then switched to another stream to watch from my Homesharing server and it did it again once and never again. It's super fast too, if you don't pay attention you can easily miss it. So is this a warning sign of imminent death? I have that cheap 85QD7N.

Handbrake cripple HomeSharing for Mac OS 27

Here is the gist of it. Latest Mac OS 27 and Handbrake. Converting a file with Preset ATV 4K, but using H265 10bit. As it's processing CPU is close to 700%. I have 3 ATV4K 3rd gen and 2 ATV HD. HomeSharing will not connect to the computer. If I try a few times and let it spin it will connect, but not all thumbnails are not showing. The ones that do show, I can click and it will either say not found in library or just spins forever. I also tried a search in ATV and no results. Tried this on all ATV I have and same issues. So I stop HB and rebooted the iMac M3, Velop Routers and all ATV. Rebooted them all. Started HomeSharing and it works fast and as expected. Back to the iMac and started up HB and processing a video same set up. Went back to the ATV and boom Homesharing is either stuck, can't connect or no library or content found on all of them. When back to the iMac, turned off HB and all ATV works. Went back to the iMac turned on HB again and this time used VideoToolbox... went back to the ATV and Homesharing works like a charm again. So something changed with Mac OS 27 that when HB the preset for ATV utilizing CPU at almost 700% Mac OS 27 just can't allocate resources for HomeSharing to work reliably even Photo won't load on the ATV with HB running.... Anyway incase someone is experiencing something similar to this.

Update: I uploaded Activity Monitor showing CPU% on an iMac M3 8 Core, 24gb system.

Can ATV4K playback AAC 7.1 Audio

Do you guys know if ATV4K can play back AAC 7.1 Audio from Handbrake encode? I can see an option to select TruHD 7 .1 and then AAC 7.1 on Handbrake for ATV playback. Anyone try this yet?

Has Linksys discontinued making products?

I have not seen any new announcements since Velop 7 or any updates. The product is no longer available on Amazon, BB and just used ones online. What is the official statement here? Has Linksys exited the market?

Is this grading high enough or should it be higher?

What do you guys think? should it be higher? The dirt is packed in the rocks above it. My Landscaper/Hardscaper fixed this area as it eroded and a void showed at the foundation wall. Packed it back in with dirt and graded the entire side. Should it be higher? I figure this will probably need to be watched every year and packed as it settles down. This is AZ with the crap clay type dirt thats just a pain to maintain a grading around the house.

Going over 1.2 TB and experience.

I've gone over the 1.2 TB a few times already and guess what happened? Nothing. Download, upload same as always during day and night. Highest speed during day when less people are home and just a tad slower at peak evening hours as always. So anyone worried about going 1.2...don't. Nothing happens.

Slit or hole after monsoon rain

So I’m in AZ. After the last monsoon rain I found a hole or a small gap at the foundation. The ground eroded and I can see it created a very deep hole in there. Probably around 2 feet deep hole. Maybe deeper since I really couldn’t see the bottom because the erosion had angled downward under the foundation. So for now all I had was a bag of sand and filled the hole. it took almost all the bag. I kept packing it in and pushing it with the metal hand garden tool used for planting. it wouldn’t fill in any further. Also there was no other erosion area except for that spot. the ground around it was solid and no hole. The gap or hole area is not that big it’s about 6” opening but I filled it with sand and all around it for now so it looks big but it’s not

My Landscaper is coming to check it soon. Should they dig it up and check it? Then fix or fill the hole properly and grade the ground to be much higher right? Should I have pavers line the house perimeter also to prevent this from happening? house is only 6 years old.

Oh that line on the foundation wall is not a crack. It’s like a thicker section that sticks out. Always been there since construction.

Appreciate advise from the experts here. Thank you.

I didn't turn it on

First time this happened for me. G4AR had a message of a connection issue and wants me to unplug and reboot it. Ok did that and all is well. Was checking the setting and "Advanced Cyber Security" is enabled. I never turned that on. Honestly I can't even remember seeing it on there in the first place. Did they do something to enable it and thus locked up the G4AR?

Do you guys leave it on? I don't think I want it proactively deciding for me to block websites or whatever.

The end of Velop Lines?

It seems that Velop 7 Pro is nowhere to be found. With no future replacement down the pipeline. Since a private equity firm owns the company now. I wonder if it's the end of Linksys Velop products? Anyone have thoughts or inside information in the future for Linksys Velop products?

Weird reporting on Velp System Log

So I ran Velp system LOG just to check things around and status. The weird thing is, one Node which is working fine shows on the system log as "WiFi Down" yet it's working fine and normal status lights. The Linksys App shows it's connected to the Parent Node with full bars and RSSI of -46. So I then Log on the Linksys Web Management interface and it's missing on the Device List yet shows on the Linksys App. It's also working fine. Weird.

Wireless Backhaul Performance Chart

First time I actually looked up this information. I didn't even know that Linksys has a chart that shows what's the best RSSI signal level for Nodes connecting to the parent via Wireless Backhaul. I find this helpful as one of my Nodes is getting 56 RSSI. I think I'll move it to get under 50 RSSI.

Done! Just placed it higher On the bookshelf. It’s now about 5’ high. Now hitting below 50 RSSI.

Still no proper Watchlist, Favorites or My List

So you have perhaps 5 or more series or shows that you watch "from Apple only". There is still no way to have them all in one List or section to quickly jump to. Watchlist or Favorites from Apple ONLY. You have to do a search. Why they refuse to do this is beyond ridiculous.
