I am only getting a few wishlists a day organically. What is your advice to get more wishlists? I have 30 days left to release and have Next Fest between now and release (but don't want to over rely on it to save my game)

The steam page has been up for a month or two, I have already released a demo (only 150 unique players) and I will be reaching out to streamers and content creators hoping they will play it or see it. I am hoping Steam Next Fest really pulls me out of the dirt here, but I don't want to rely on that only. My Reddit, YouTube, Instagram and Tiktok posts aren't doing great and I am getting nothing out of them.

my game "Scracth Off!" is at 150 wishlists! not sure on what the next steps are?

My game "Scratch Off!" is at 150 wishlists, and I'm at the dreaded part of marketing the game and realising I have no idea what I'm doing.

It's a roguelike-deckbuilder which is obviously a very competitive genre with how saturated it is, and it is based on scratch cards. First thoughts make it seem like it is similar to Scritchy Scratchy, but the gameplay is so different, with gameplay from Scratch Off! being closer to something like Balatro than Scritchy Scratchy.

Main problem I'm facing:
What do I do now? I need to focus on wishlists and trying to get ready for Next Fest / Full Launch (24th June) but I',m not really sure what the next steps are. I'm trying to post on socials but barely getting interaction (skill issue).

I'm also starting to doubt my Steam page and capsule, which I was previously very happy with. I also have a free demo on Steam that has had ~75 unique players but haven't had any feedback other than from very close friends.

Any feedback/pointers would be a massive help!

EDIT: misspelling my game name in title is a great start!

Scratch Off! is a roguelike deckbuilder that feels like a mix between Balatro and Scritchy Scratchy!

I've been working on Scratch Off! for the past several months and it's one of the few games I've actually been close to finishing, and putting on Steam, so posting this feels a bit nerve-wracking!

The idea is pretty straightforward: you scratch cards to earn money, pay rent at the end of each round to keep your run, and visit a shop between rounds to buy new cards, upgrades and coins. The rent targets keep getting steeper and you need to manage your spending between upgrading your cards, and keeping enough to pay the rent, so a bad run of luck can catch up with you fast.

This was being built before Scritchy Scratchy was released, and I remember my stomach dropping when I found out about it as I thought I was building an original idea (if those exist!).

However, I was happy to know that whilst the core idea of scratching is shared, the core gameplay and feel of the game is completely different!

There are upgrades, various cards to collect and scratch, coins that offer boosts to different parts of the game. The upgrades are interesting. There's one called Negative that flips all your symbol values, so your worst symbols become your best earners. Pair that with the right coin and a card you'd normally avoid becomes something that could win you the run.

I built the whole thing alone in Godot. It's been a good lesson in actually shipping something rather than endlessly tweaking it.

The demo covers the first five rounds and is free! If it looks like your kind of thing, a wishlist goes a long way and I'd really appreciate it. I'll be around in the comments if anyone has questions about the game or how it was built.
