Title: BCA Graduate | Learned Web Development | Struggling to Find Even a Remote Paid Internship

Hi everyone,

I'm a BCA graduate and I've spent the past several months learning web development. I've worked with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Node.js, Express, MongoDB, Git, and have built a few personal projects to strengthen my skills.

Despite applying to a lot of internships and entry-level jobs, I haven't been able to land anything. Most applications either get rejected or receive no response at all.

At this point, I'm just looking for an opportunity to gain real-world experience. A paid remote internship would honestly mean a lot to me. I'm eager to learn, work hard, and improve.

If anyone here is hiring, knows of any openings, or can refer me to a company looking for a junior web developer or intern, I'd be incredibly grateful.

I'm happy to share my resume, portfolio, and GitHub in DMs or in the comments if needed.

Any advice, referrals, or leads would really help.

Thank you so much!

BCA Graduated, 100+ applications, almost no responses. Is my resume the problem or should I switch domains?

Hi everyone,

I'm a final-year BCA student from India and I've been applying for frontend internships and entry-level developer roles for the past few months. I've applied to well over 100 positions through LinkedIn, company career pages, Internshala, and other job portals, but I've received almost no responses.

My current stack includes:

  • React.js
  • JavaScript (ES6+)
  • HTML/CSS
  • Tailwind CSS
  • Vite
  • Git/GitHub
  • Basic Node.js, Express, and MongoDB

Some of my projects include:

  • Typing Speed Tester (React)
  • Todo App with MVC architecture and Webpack
  • Password Generator (React)

I'm attaching my resume and I'd really appreciate brutally honest feedback.

I'm not looking for reassurance—I'd rather hear the truth if something is wrong.

Some specific questions:

  1. What's the biggest weakness in my resume?
  2. Do my projects look too basic or tutorial-like?
  3. Is my skill set enough for frontend internships in the current market?
  4. If you were screening resumes, would you reject mine? If yes, why?
  5. Should I continue focusing on frontend development, move toward full-stack, or pivot to another domain entirely?
  6. If you were in my position today, what would you spend the next 3–6 months learning or building?

Please don't hold back. I'd rather hear harsh but actionable criticism than generic advice.

Thanks in advance to everyone who takes the time to review it.

Title: I (23M) have feelings for my college friend (22F), but she's engaged. How do I move forward?

I (23M) and my college friend (22F) studied together for 3 years. During our second year, she got engaged through an arrangement between her family and another family they have known for years. She comes from a traditional joint family.

I developed feelings for her over time but never confessed until our last day of college. To my surprise, she told me she has feelings for me too.

The problem is that she says she can't promise me a future or marriage because she's already engaged. She said that if she ever decided to go against her family's wishes, it would create major conflict. She also told me that if she were to fight for us, my financial stability and our long-term compatibility would be important because she'd need to convince her family that leaving the engagement was worth it.

She has also told me that she feels trapped in her engagement. According to her, her fiancé is very controlling and toxic, and she often feels suffocated by the situation. She has said that she wants to do her best to end the engagement regardless of whether she ends up with me or not, because she doesn't believe it's a healthy relationship for her. At the same time, she doesn't know if she'll be able to go against her family's wishes because of the pressure and the consequences it could have at home.

Right now, I'm unemployed and struggling to find an IT job because of the current job market in India. I don't come from a business family, so I feel like I'm falling short in every way.

I'm emotionally exhausted and don't know how to handle this. I don't want to pressure her or interfere with her family situation, but I also don't know whether I should keep hoping, stay in touch while focusing on my career, or start trying to move on.

I'm looking for advice from people who've dealt with similar situations involving engagements, family expectations, or financial instability. How would you approach this?
