I’ve been stressed over this illustration for the past few weeks, the colours and values feel very off and unlike an actual concert at all. I was trying to mix stage theatre with a regular music one, hence the random objects not seen typically on a concert stage. What can I do to fix this? I was thinking of quite dramatic lighting but it’s quite difficult for me to achieve 😢

It’s already mid-way 2026, so I’ll looking for a review for my current portfolio (last 2 images). Feel free to reflect on anything and everything. I’m also considering changing my art style sooner or later after I handle all/most of my commissions- maybe something more realistic. Any advice on what I could focus on would be appreciated.

It’s always piqued my interest in learning how to capture that traditional feel and texture on digital programs, but it’s quite the struggle. Blending without making parts of the artwork appear artificially smooth is one of the major challenges I faced when I attempted to recreate the painting lol, so I was wondering of recommended techniques or other tools I should keep in my roster to remember for later as I continue practicing ^_^
