My '89 K2500 still has the stock moon gauges and I'm looking to upgrade to something more accurate and with a RPM Tachometer. Any suggestions between a later OBS cluster gauge, gauge pods, or digital? Everything including the pod gauges are kinda pricey, but I'm looking for the community's input on accuracy, affordability, and suggestions
I'll leave some pics of what I currently have and have been looking at.
Hey guys, I just picked an '89 Chevy k2500 and am having some issues with the oil pressure.
I was driving maybe half a mile yesterday when my engine stalled out coming to a stop at an intersection. After that the truck was having issues turning over. Didn't seem to be an electrical problem since giving it gas seemed to get the engine going until the engine cut out. At the time the oil pressure looked to be low, but maybe that's because the engine had cooled for awhile before I took notice.
Today I topped the oil off and let the engine run for about 10 minutes, while I did some chores, to wait for it to warm up. When I checked on the truck the oil pressure gauge was maxed out and when I gave the truck gas the engine expelled white smoke, which had a burning smell.
Where's a good place to look for the cause of this high oil pressure? I was thinking about starting with a full oil and filter change, and maybe having someone do a fuel line cleaning.
I really hate this type of sleeve, but they come standard in a lot of newer records. If you like them please tell me why, because I just think they're annoying to handle and usually store awfully in the jacket.
