The Fort Langley Jazz & Arts Festival takes a literal village
It’s not hard to be charmed by Fort Langley...” 🎷✨
We are so honored to be featured in The Georgia Straight ahead of this week’s Fort Langley Jazz & Arts Festival! The article captures the heart of what makes our festival so special: activating our historic village with world-class music, vibrant visual arts, interactive workshops, and Indigenous cultural activities.
As Executive Director Karen Zukas shared with the Georgia Straight, creating an accessible, walkable, and inclusive space for everyone is at the core of what we do, from our free community weekend of live music, art and culture to incredible headline shows like the Daniel Hersog Jazz Orchestra concert, Lorval Developments Cool Blues Show and Laila Biali’s Generation X Meets Next Gen performance.
Building a festival like this literally takes a village - and in today’s challenging economic landscape, community support matters more than ever.
We can’t wait to welcome you to Fort Langley this week (July 23–26)!

🚨 Spot the Red Light… and You’ll Spot the Red Purse! 🚨
On Thursday, May 28, the Soroptimists of the Langleys will be recognizing Menstrual Hygiene Day with a special community collection event to help address period poverty right here in Langley.
Join us from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Langley Senior Resources Society as we collect menstrual hygiene products including pads, tampons, liners, and other essential items for those in need in our community.
