Mid week roast for us and baby

Mid week roast for us and baby

Roast chicken and roasted veg puree, sweet potato sticks and some strawberry melty sticks. Guess what he went for first?😅🤭

9mo adjusted but we're behind on his weaning because of his prematurity (and also I fed purees for a month or two because I was nervous!)

Recommendations for miniatures to paint as practice?

Hi all! I hope everyone is well!

I've recently started painting miniatures and am absolutely loving it so far, but when I say recently I mean I've painted 2 × 40k Ultramarines. I have grand plans to slowly (as budget allows) get into warhammer and painting minis, but I'm unfortunately not an artistic soul. I do paint by numbers and that's it. 0 creativity or artistic knowledge. Can anyone recommend some miniatures that wont break the bank (like warhammer does) that I could practice on? Bonus points if theyre cute. I want to learn how to properly dry brush and how colours work together and shading and highlights and all that fun stuff. I have a combat patrol of Adepta Sororitas that I'm looking forward to painting, but theyre fiddly and awesome and I dont want to mess them up by doing a bad paint job 🤣 any advice from you wonderful lot? I know I'm super new to all this but I've genuinely really enjoyed painting my 2 little Ultramarine dudes, and want to pursue the hobby as it's a lovely bit of me time between caring for my gorgeous 9mo boy. Thanks in advance!

My second attempt

Is somehow worse than the first but thats ok because I'm still proud of my little dude!

How badly am I going to struggle with Adepta Sororitas?🤣

I think I'm going to get some more practice on some tyranids or something...

I am also hoping to get some new sable brushes as my current (synthetic) ones are in need of replacing (I used them for paint by numbers for a year)

I think I need to learn more about shade and highlights so will get my lovely artistic fiancé to walk me through it!

Golden maple brushes?

Hi everyone 😊 I'm totally new to warhammer and am learning the basics of minaiture painting. I have some cheap synthetic brushes at the moment but am really enjoying the hobby and looking forward to doing more painting so am going to buy some slightly better brushes, as I used to use mine for paint by numbers and they're on their way out anyway - are golden maple any good? My previous brushes are Nicpro brand from amazon and served me quite well! In contrast, I bought my partner an Artis Opus set for christmas and I know he loves them, but they're a bit out of my price range and I refuse to use his as a newbie😅

Edited to add: I'm looking at the sable brushes! Sorry if forgot to add that haha

My first warhammer mini painted! (Ultramarine)

Just finished painting my first ever warhammer! My lovely fiancé (whos an artist but is also relatively new to warhammer) guided me through it. I'm practicing on the starter set before I paint my sisters of battle army. I've loved every minute of painting!

Weird Question about standing at seated concerts

So I'm seeing SOAD in a couple months at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, London. Cannot wait. They're my favourite band and I can't believe I got tickets. However my go to for concerts is to stand, because I like to dance along. What is concert etiquette for standing in seated areas? I saw Ghost last year in London, and again had a seated ticket as I was heavily pregnant at the time, but loads of people around us and eventually including us got up towards the second half of the gig and danced and sang along and it was great. I don't want to block anyones view so I'm just hoping my area gets up and dances too.

Edit: Not entirely sure why I and others are being down voted for simply asking a question
