How would Tyranids adapt to fight the Iron Warriors?

Im not sure if this match-up has occurred in canon yet, but I found the idea interesting.

On the one side you have a group of Iron Warriors who have fortified like crazy and created all sorts of blatantly unfair killing fields, deathtraps and hidey holes.

And on the other side, god’s hungriest soldiers. How would they adapt to siege warfare?

[Avatar] Are there ANY downsides to being a Bender?

Specifically for the pre-Korra era.

It seems like Benders are just… Better?

All four bending styles have tons of utility. They open up unique career opportunities. Some people can become healers, others can create homes or huge walls out of rocks.

Even with minimal training, you can use it to defend yourself or run away.

Are there any downsides whatsoever?

a Space Marine (40k) attempts to tank the strongest UNSC weapons (Halo). How does he fare?

After getting into a heated argument with a Spartan, an Ultramarine declares that he can shrug off anything he throws at him. How poorly does this go?

The Marine: Wearing Mark VII power armor. He will stand perfectly still, arms wide, and allow the Spartan to shoot him from a distance of 30 ft.

The Spartan is equipped with a variety of weapons:

R1: Assault Rifle - 32 rounds

R2: Shotgun - 12 rounds

R3: Sniper Rifle - 4 rounds

R4: Rocket Launcher - 2 missiles

R5: Spartan Laser - 1 shot

R6: Railgun - 1 shot

Bonus 1: Energy Sword - 3 attempts

Bonus 2: Gravity Hammer - 3 attempts

If the Space Marine dies or is too injured to walk away, he loses.

Which rounds can he pass?

Stormtroopers vs The Guard (40k)

Instead of Chaos vs Force Gods, lets look at the absolute fodder of both settings.

In a battle between Stormtroopers and Imperial Guardsmen, who comes out on top?

Rules:

Arena: Neutral beachfront which neither side has explored. Lots of rocky cover.

Stormtroopers: 500 total, mostly basic troops with some scouts and sergeants as well. Led by an officer.

Guard: Very average regiment, so no Cadians. Normal troopers with a few veterans. Led by a commissar.

Both sides are limited to their usual weapons and armor. No vehicles unless otherwise stated.

Battle is to the death, no retreating.

——

Round One: As described

Round Two: Both sides are now “elite.” Stormtroopers are replaced with Deathtroopers.

Guardsmen are ALL replaced with the Death Korps of Krieg.

Round Three: Same as round two but both sides also receive vehicles. Deathtroopers get x10 AT-STs and x3 AT-AT Walkers.

Death Korps get x5 Leman Russ Tanks.

Bonus Round 1: Composite Vader vs 100 Death Korps soldiers.

Bonus Round 2: x3 generic Ultramarines vs 500 Deathtroopers

Tony = the Bear. An Analysis

I read up on the black bear that appears in Season 5 and there’s a lot of good takes on it representing Tony, his masculinity, etc.

What most people are missing is that the Bear is not just Tony’s alter ego, its literally another form he can assume.

Satanic Black Magic, Sick Shit: The Bear appears in the episode ‘Two Tonys.’ You’re telling me you’ve never pondered that? In addition to the literal two Tonys, Tony and Tony Egg, we also have Tony and Tony Bear. AKA two sides of the same man’s psychotic personality.

When Ginny Goes Camping…: Who doesn’t like a good Ginny Sac joke? Aside from that crybaby with that giant thing in New York. Notably though, Tony wasn’t entirely amused by this quip. You may chalk it up to this being a lazy joke… Or, it being grossly offensive anti-bear discrimination.

As a bear himself, Tony caught some strays from someone who really should have known better.

Everything’s Always Gay With You: When Carmela calls the animal control guys, they both fail to find the bear (given that he’s currently walking on two legs and eyeing the gabagool).

Tony insinuates that Ranger Rick is the kind of guy to get caught in the back of a car catching, not pitching. Obviously! The feud between bears and rangers has existed since George Washington wore short pants nearly 250 years ago. A bear would call you gay too, if he could only speak.

That’s Right Cocksucker, Go Back To Yellowstone!: Shapeshifting is nothing new to the Sopranos series. We’ve seen that Phil is afflicted with house-based lycanthropy, making him a warehouse. Pussy changes into a fish form (though his powers are limited to the Freudian subconscious). Ralphie can become bald on command. The list goes on, mysteries abound.

In Conclusion: It was the perfect set-up. Tony plays bear and scares Carmela, then returns in human form to save the day. Its a protection racket through and through, standard mob shit.

Tony and the Bear never appear in the same scene. When the Members Only prick shows up, Tony doesn’t wildshape at the diner because Carmela and his kids are sitting *right there,* imagine how upset they’d be!

When the screen fades to black, you suddenly remember Bobby’s famous quote concerning death, and it all makes sense.

”Bear left.” So we (the audience) went home. I’ve said my piece.
