Sometimes the Same City Feels Like Two Different Worlds

Not complaining, not comparing, just sharing a small feeling I had today. I went to Workshop Eatery again. There were many children from British School hanging out and other teenagers ordering whatever they wanted without even looking at the prices.

I’m in my mid-30s now. I earn my own income and can afford my meals. But honestly, I still check the menu prices before ordering anything.

The bill there is really high, at least for me. Maybe for some people, it feels completely normal, but for an average person like me, it still feels expensive to eat there often. Seeing younger kids casually spending that much made me reflect on life for a moment.

It gave me that quiet middle-class feeling, where you’re grateful for what you have, but at the same time, you realize how differently people experience the same city.

Not jealousy at all, just one of those random thoughts life gives you sometimes.

Morning walk in basantapur feels like europe :)

Went to Basantapur Durbar Square early in the morning around 6 AM —it felt like I was walking through the streets of Europe. The peaceful vibe, clean surroundings, old architecture, and calm morning atmosphere made Kathmandu look absolutely magical 😬
