Parent exhaustion

I don't really know if this is parenting related, but here it goes. I am 46 and have 2 kids age 10 amd 12. I am really chill, calm, and relaxed when my kids are not around, almost to the point that I'm very tired, lethargic, almost like lazy. When my kids are around, I am tense, easily irritable, annoyed and frustrated often. Is this a thing? Is it normal? I just noticed this recently, I don't really know how long its been happening, for at least a few months it seems. Ty so much!

46yo in peri have questions

I have been in Peri for a while. I have a few questions I'm wondering if you can please help me?

How long does peri last?

Do you just stop getting your cycles one day?

Did your cycles change during this time, like shorter, longer, cominweg late, or not at all?

My cycle has been getting more painful, lasting longer in terms of pmdd, pms, cramps lasting longer prior to it starting, becoming debilitating for days, bleeding starting later and later each month, and more changes. Please offer any other advice you want.

Ty for your help.

Gluten sensitive

Ugh! I have hashimotos, and over 2 years now have been Gf with success. Gluten is a huge trigger for inflammation and gi issues. I say I am sensitive cause I have had testing, however i was already Gf for a long time and the tests were negative of course. I used to could handle cross contamination, for example i could eat a few French fries and be just fine, but not any longer, now I have an almost immediate reaction and gi issues. So I guess this can get worse over time??

Anyone have issues with Qelbree?

My 11 yo daughter has been on qelbree for over a year now and it has been extremely helpful for her in school and with anxiety. But lately she tells me she has thoughts of hurting herself, so, i am unsure if it's the medicine causing this, or perhaps something else?

Yes, I am getting her help, and yes we have talked and she feels better. But I don't want this to be an ongoing thing, if its the meds, we will stop it. Its not a stimulant, but I did read that up to 10% of people or less may have thoughts like that. So I wanted to hear from others.

Daughter food choices and sleep

Hello fellow parents! I have an 11 yo daughter almost 12, and she loves to sleep in and eat junk food. She's slim, fit, athletic and very active. She's on track for her age, weight and height.

So i will list my questions.

  1. School is practically over for the year and she will sleep from like 10 pm until 11 am or longer the next day. Should I allow this?

  2. She has a major sweet tooth. For example if we buy 6 donuts they will be gone in 2 days, completely eaten by her. I have told her and taught her so many times that eating healthy and making better decisions about food is important. But then I catch her sneaking it anyways, or just eating another type of junk food in its place

Reference: she eats pretty descent, eats most meats, and some fruit, veggies, and dairy for meals. She eats like a typical kid and then also seems to be constantly hungry. I don't want to be too restrictive and cause food issues, but I don't want to be on her constantly about her bad habits either. But clearly she has no will power with sweets. Plus. She has adhd and will most likely grab what is quick and easy.

Ty for your advice.
