The death of Joe Roscoe: My vote for the saddest death in the history of the show.

>!Very narrowly beating the death of Phoebe McQueen, who was the best McQueen, and no I will not be taking questions about that statement.!<

Joe was a good man, really too good of a man for a place like Hollyoaks, and his death just took the wind out of my sails when I watching through the series for the first time. Seeing someone as hard as Freddie just crumble was a sight to see, but I think it did bring out his better side.

It was also, in my opinion, the final nail in the coffin for any chance at Mercedes redeeming herself in any meaningful way. She never truly recovered from it, the ripple effect lasted well after Joe was gone with her indirectly causing Harry Thompson's death, as well as dragging Sylver through the mud when they were married (another character I felt was done dirty in the end, even if he really was just asking for it towards the end of his run).

Episode: 2nd of November, 2016

Song: Holocene by Bon Iver (Special mention to this because it's a hauntingly beautiful song, I recommend seeking it out)

Continuing on highlighting underrated characters, here's a look at Dylan Jenkins.

Talk about wasted potential. Arrived in January of 2015 and didn't even last a year, becoming the fifth victim of the Gloved-Hand Killer in August.

It wasn't all bad, though. He was likeable and had some great moments of acting, and his presence had a lot of influence on future major events. His death is what truly began Nico Blake's descent into madness and it brought the character of Trevor Royle full circle.

Episode: 25th of August, 2015

In honor of National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, here's a spotlight on the final moments of Kyle Kelly.

Easily one of the best characters in the last ten years, certainly one of the best characters of the 2020's. Witty, nuanced, intriguing, Kyle was a gem.

Adam Rickitt is a fantastic actor and this scene really cements that fact.

Episode: 5148 (9th June 2020)

Another underrated character, Blessing Chambers. To my knowledge she was the show's first proper transgender representation, sadly underutilized.

Additional shout-out to Dennis Savage, underrated in his own right and my personal favorite of the Savage family.

Episode is from the 21st of November, 2014, which would be Belssing's final appearance and the original exit of Dennis before he'd return in 2018 >!And then again in 2025 to be unceremoniously murdered off-screen by Jeremy Blake just like Robbie Roscoe was unceremoniously murdered by Jeremy Blake AND I WILL FOREVER HOLD A GRUDGE OVER THAT STOP KILLING MY FAVORITE CHARACTERS KIRKWOOD YOU DAFT GIT!<

Author's Note: Blessing is NOT the first instance of transgender representation, as I was reminded in the comments. That honor belongs to Jason Costello, brother of Riley Costello.

DS Thorpe was such an underrated character, he was such a stick in the mud in the funniest way.

A British soap is the last place I'd expect to see Destiny, but Hollyoaks continues to bewilder me.

This particular episode is from the 8th of June in 2016 if that narrows down what exact content he's playing.

Creating a Moveset : Melmetal (Pokémon)

Melmetal Weighs In!

At 800kg (1,763lb), Melmetal is one of the heaviest Pokémon in the history of the franchise, and as such would be one of the slowest and heaviest fighters on the Super Smash Bros. roster. Melmetal evolves from Meltan through a process in which the strongest Meltan in a colony absorbs the rest of its kin, so one Melmetal is actually several Meltan fused together. With this knowledge in mind, I thought a neat gimmick with Melmetal as a fighter could focus on its weight and how it maintains it, and thus its fighting prowess. An inverse of Lucario's gimmick, where the more damage it takes the stronger it becomes, Melmetal would become lighter the more damage it takes. Through this it would become much faster and jump higher, but also easier to knock around. Several of Melmetal's moves would have small enhancements depending on if Melmetal is at its heaviest.

>NEUTRAL SPECIAL: DOUBLE IRON BASH
Charge up and swing your arms around to knock down anything in your path, similar to R.O.B.'s side-special. If Melmetal is at its heaviest, this attack deals slightly increased damage and can deflect projectiles.

>SIDE-SPECIAL: GYRO BALL
Condense your liquid metal form into a ball and rev up and release to mow down enemies at high speeds, similar to Jigglypuff's side-special. If Melmetal is at its heaviest, this attack will bury enemies in the ground, similar to the Pitfall item.

>UP-SPECIAL: HEAVY SLAM
Leap into the air and quickly come rocketing down at an angle, similar to Incineroar's up-special. If Melmetal is at its heaviest, this attack creates an area-of-effect shockwave upon landing that may briefly stun opponents, similar to the Deku Nut item.

>DOWN-SPECIAL: AUTOTOMIZE
Reduce your liquid metal form to cut your weight by one stage, temporarily increasing speed and jump height, but making you easier to send flying. This move is only a temporary weight reduction and has a cooldown, so nothing will happen if you attempt to use it in rapid succession. If Melmetal is at its lowest possible weight, this move will also fail.

>FINAL SMASH: G-MAX MELTDOWN
A cinematic Final Smash that sees Melmetal transform into its Gigantamax form and unleash a wave of liquid metal spikes against any opponents caught in the attack. When the cinematic ends, Melmetal's weight will be restored by one stage.

>"Long ago, in the feudal age of Japan, the great outlaw Hanzō stole the 'Kogane no Kokoro,' the 'Heart of Gold,' a cherished heirloom of a wealthy Imperial family.
The heirloom is said to be the source of all the world's riches, and they who possess the heart will find great wealth attracted to them.
The outlaw and his six loyal comrades were hunted by the 'Junsa,' the 'Constables,' a league of fierce bounty hunters, at the behest of the Imperial family who once possessed the artifact.
A great battle was fought, and his comrades were overwhelmed and slain, but not before Hanzō sealed the Heart of Gold away in a crypt deep in the forest, costing him his physical body.
The Imperial family tried in vain to search for the Heart of Gold's resting place, exhausting their wealth, and soon they faded into obscurity, leaving only the Junsa to carry on their mission.
In the modern day, a group of six young students who are members of a struggling charity stumble upon the resting place of the Heart of Gold, and their curiousness awakens the spirit of Hanzō that was tethered to the heirloom. Seeking to redeem himself, Hanzō proposes an alliance: If the teens can free the Heart of Gold and restore him to a corporeal form, Hanzō will use the artifact to seek out riches to help the charity thrive.
Eager to provide for the less-fortunate, the teens agree to his terms. Hanzō grants each of the teens the treasured symbol of his fellowship, a mysterious bow.
With a swift shot to the heavens, the Sanzoku Sentai Merryman is born!

As the name and synopsis suggests, Sanzoku Sentai Merryman uses the folklore legend of Robin Hood as a theme. Hanzō acts as the team's mentor, >!but will later become the seventh team member in emerald green when his body is restored.!<

Each team member has a central color (Red, Yellow, Blue, Black, White, and Pink) but green accents are present throughout the costume, as Robin Hood was traditionally depicted wearing green. The outfit also resembles the traditional look of the character, stylized to look like a tunic with white arm and leg sleeves, black gloves and boots, as well as a helmet stylized to look like a feathered cap.

The transformation device is a bow and arrow called the Swift-Shot Merry Arrower, and it doubles as their primary weapon. The transformation call is "Ichigeki Change," with the team firing an arrow into the sky which they catch and it forms their costume.
