Anyone else get this level of flack for speaking about Covid?

I get these sorts of messages a lot, and I usually just ignore them, but this time I felt angry that this person felt the need to take the time to send me this.

Usually the attacks revolve my fundraising to stay afloat, but lately there’s been an increase in shots like this.

I don’t normally give this kinda thing the light of day, but it’s been one of the hardest years of my life, filled with personal/financial struggle, and “when it rains it pours” has become my own personal catchphrase.

I’m not out here fundraising to get rich or to grift, I’m on the verge of financial ruin, and I can’t find a job because I am vocal about an uncomfortable topic that no one wants a reminder of.

When I started hitting brick walls with employment, I pivoted and said hey, I know, I’ll offer to help people in their own advocacy, and I’ll push to amplify the work and message of others, and I’ll spend time trying to educate governments and agencies, and request change, and do stunts, and songs, and billboards and anything I can to get the word out about Covid.

I still think it is a good idea, and not something I should be attacked for.

I’m not out here screaming about Covid because I want to be, someone else should be pushing the accurate information out to the public and causing noise, I’m doing it because the people who are paid to do it are SILENT! SILENT!

While applying for jobs, and fending off collectors, I’ll spend 10 hours a day sharing a gofundme and get excited for a $10 donation, not just because the money helps my family and I, but because it shows me that someone believes in me, or the message, or both.
I’ll do that because I can’t live with the contradictions and I can’t watch people get sick like this and keep my mouth shut.

There’s other people like me out there swimming against the stream, and I get a lot of courage from them, it’s nice to see others pushing the truth, and not just sending nasty messages because Covid makes them uncomfortable.

If you could only own 1 car your whole life, you’d take care of it right? One Covid infection per year, adds up.

If you could only own one vehicle for the rest of your life, wouldn’t you want to avoid accidents?

Covid infections are like car accidents, you might not die but they could still mess up your vehicle. If you couldn’t buy a new vehicle or even get it fixed, wouldn’t you want to avoid accidents?

Back to School doesn’t have to be back to sick.

Back to School Does not have to mean “Back to Sick”. Every year when schools re-open many students and staff get sick with one thing or another, but there are ways to reduce the amount of sickness we are seeing.

I am going to work to share information and strategies with all involved in educating students as well as parents, so that they may reduce the spread of Covid, Flu, Measles etc. as well as clean the air to provide the best learning environments possible.

I will also start posting videos and graphics for aimed at parents and education officials and workers, so that we might break down some of the stigma that are attached to public health mitigations.

I will be fundraising to support my efforts, and hopefully I can raise enough to fund the next few months, any amount is appreciated, and a share goes a long way.

This has been one of the most challenging years of my life, but I feel this is important, and if you do as well, I could use your help.

I started my fund about 2 years ago, have spent money on billboards, had fees taken out, and stretched the rest out over almost 2 years, while providing assistance to others, and making as much noise as I can.

Being “that guy who always talks about Covid” isn’t super appealing to employers, and while I know it is my choice to be vocal, I have to try everything to get by while I help others and raise awareness, until I find full time work from an understanding employer.

If you need help with personal advocacy send me a DM.
If you’d like to help please do so, even a share goes a long way.
Thanks, YerAweSum.

Advocacy, Awareness, and Assistance.

I am sharing this with as many people as I can friends.

I want to continue my work of raising awareness and helping others, and I am also fundraising out of necessity. Hopefully I can raise enough to fund the next few months, any amount is appreciated, and a share goes a long way.

This has been one of the most challenging years of my life, and my inability to stay quiet about these issues has not made it easier, but I feel this is important, and if you do as well, I could use your help.

I started my fund about 2 years ago, have spent money on billboards, had fees taken out, and stretched the rest out over almost 2 years, while providing assistance to others, and making as much noise as I can.

There is a cost for being vocal and I am paying it, being “that guy who always talks about Covid” isn’t super appealing to employers, and while I know it is my choice to be vocal, I have to try everything to get by while I help others, until I find full time work from an understanding employer.

Until then I will strive to be the best Swiss army knife of awareness as I can be and remain on call to help others.
Thank you everyone who has supported me so far, I appreciate your belief in me more than I can express.

If you need help with personal advocacy send me a DM.

It’s not just Covid that Concerns me.

It's not just the situation right now that concerns me in terms of safety for our kids and society as a whole, but it is also the trend moving forward.

Covid and Long Covid are not the only topics that worry me, as these topics are just the current focus of our troubling trajectory.

What worries me more is that we have dismantled the baseline standards of public health messaging to accommodate temporary public comfort, with no justification given aside from political motivations, and the empty, unachievable promise of "getting back to normal".

At this point we have devalued accurate and essential education regarding public health threats for the temporary gain of a distorted sense of "normal", and while most of the deterioration of public health standards started with the relaxation of essential Covid mitigations and education, it has spread to public health as a whole.

Additional present threats such as measles are being downplayed with the same indifference as we are seeing with Covid, so what does that say for the future? How can we believe that we will make the educated essential choices in the now likely event that more viruses arise or reemerge?

At this point we have no reason to believe we will, I mean our track record has been erased, and we are dialing back public health standards, and casting aside norms so fast that it is hard to keep up.

The shift away from the precautionary principle has come at a devastating cost, we have borrowed from our children's futures to pay for temporary relief today, and I don't think it is a debt that we can pay back.

We have to get back on track now, the only way out of this mess is through it, and education has to be the battering ram.

Healthcare workers mad about people trying to rewrite history.

Healthcare workers mad that people are trying to bury the past are helping to bury the present and the future by being silent about the current threat of Covid.

If you’re a healthcare worker, who’s mad about people trying to rewrite history why aren’t you wearing a mask and advocating for clean air? Why don’t you want the people you work for to have the most safe healthcare experience possible?

Why are you ignoring all of the research that we have at our disposal that shows that Covid is a wrecking ball?

World Mask Week

World Mask Week is May 25th-31st and during that week we need to promote one our most important tool against airborne viruses...Masks!

During World Mask Week we will be using two main hashtags #WorldMaskWeek and #PassTheMask so we need as many posts of mask content as we can get to flood social media to promote masks.

Pictures, videos, artwork, songs, anything you can do to promote masking, and we need all hands on deck for this, so when you see posts with mask content all that week, repost it with the hashtags and lets make this go viral all week.

Let's put masking in the spotlight and remind people that they are an effective way to reduce illness.

Covid Damages You Quietly

You think Covid isn’t damaging you but it likely is, and because the damage isn’t immediate it seems like it’s no big deal. But it is.
