Dropped My Thor

Ngl it doesn’t really bother me as it’s just cosmetic damage. Some wear and tear to give it life, but I’m making this post for two reasons.

  1. Don’t be an idiot and keep your Thor in a small ass pocket on your scrub top and then bend over to pick up your keys otherwise it’ll fall out. Additionally, invest in the case and actually use it. Keep it in the case whenever you’re going somewhere. I have one, but I stopped using it because I thought it was pointless. Lesson learned I guess

  2. I wanna see how y’all edit that one meme. You know the one I’m talking about 🗿

RPCSX Error While Booting Up Every Game

This is the AYN Thor and I’m sure y’all have seen it before, but this is the max model so it has the Snapdragon Gen 2 and 16gb RAM.

I have watched every single youtube RPCSX set up video and none of them address this error. I have also followed every single step, yet mine does not work. Only one other person/post on Reddit has this issue and it’s of course unresolved. But every single time I try to play a game, this “Error: InvalidFileOrfolder” shows up. Ik it’s only San Andreas in the picture, but i’ve tried every other game I have and it also does not play.

The ROMs are .iso files, I have downloaded and installed the ps3updat.pup file from the official playstation website, I have tried both turnip mr purple t26 and the latest t29 and they both do not work.

Any ideas? I have yet to try the pkg and rap route, but i’m already not good at emulation and that shi is confusing not gonna lie

Advice on Retaining Information?

As we all know, the obvious answer is just completing practice problems, but I don't have the time for that (I acknowledge it is my fault, I procrastinated a lot). My exam date is the 30th of May.

I understand the basic concepts and am able to do a considerable amount of practice problems with little to no problems, but the issue is the exam itself. This'll be the first time I'm taking an official ETS exam as opposed to mock or practice exams. I guess it's the time pressure or fear that I'm going to fail, but every time I start a practice exam, all the information that I learned through Gregmat or Magoosh doesn't just jump out the window it fully somersaults out my dome. Then, when I go back to see the solution I'm like, "I definitely knew that, and I should've gotten it" (although this may just be hindsight bias).

Of course, with the little time I have, I intend to do more and more practice problems, but what else more can I do? To compensate for my lack of retaining information, I'm trying to save some time by skipping through all the more difficult quant questions and going back to them later, but that doesn't really help - it doesn't magically make the information come back. Even with the verbal section; I'm typically pretty swell at vocabulary, and I make flashcards to learn the definitions of words and come up with conversations in my head to reinforce the contextual definitions too, but when it comes to the exams, I suddenly forget the meaning of like 50% of the vocab words.

What do y’alls beardies weigh?

Hello, I recently took my girl to the vet because she’s been eating less enthusiastically and has been kind of fussy for about a week. I only noticed a couple of days ago that she’s missing some teeth (see slide 2) which is normal for older beardies I hear, but she’s pretty young; she’s about to be 2 in July.

So, I took her to our exotic vet, and she said all was good regarding her teeth. Another thing I’ve always kept an eye on is feeding volume and weight. There’re so many different feeding guides, and I have no clue which to heed. Her diet for the past year was 5-10 insects dusted w/ calcium and MV daily (I read that somewhere online, and it seems to be a lot better than the “as many as they can in 5-10 minutes) and offering greens daily. I also fear that that’s too much calcium and vitamins, but we did an Xray and bones have no indication of MBD and physical examination says she’s healthy and showing no signs of toxicity.

Anyways, I always compared her with other owners bearded dragons, and some of them are A) a proportionally giant lizard so naturally they’ll weigh more or B) obese as fuck like some are 500+ grams. My girl weighs 275g and again, she’s about to be 2 which I hear is like full maturation. I asked our vet and she says she’s just a naturally petite girl which I thought was funny and reassuring. She also said that it’s recommended to have two full fasting days per week. What’re we thinking? I’m going to go with her advice since she’s a doctor, but what have y’all been doing?

Also, if we’re going off TheBeardieVet’s guide/study, wild female bearded dragons weigh ~260g and gravid females weigh ~320g or something I can’t remember. I get she’s tame and captive-raised, but biologically, she’s not domestic - she’s still wild, and I’m assuming their bodies are not meant to be overweight, so I want to emulate as close to nature as possible.

TLDR; My work email is being used to sign up for fishy shit, I'm getting random texts from "Trump" and conservative groups from different area codes across the country, and now I'm getting sent deliveries to my home address.

I apologize if this isn't appropriate or my point isn't coming across clearly as I don't use Reddit often, so I don't even know if this is the correct subreddit, but this is kind of getting to a point where I need to ask for advice before I call the police or anything.

So, this first started with my work email being used to sign up for 1) A porn website 2) A conservative campaign and they apparently donated $5. Yes, interestingly, the first thing they did was sign up for a porn website. I checked my bank account and all is good there, MY MONEY IS NOT BEING USED. So, I figured I would just ignore it.

Then, I started getting spam messages from said conservative campaigns. Some examples are like, "Thanks for your donation" to "Did you hear about what happened at the Correspondent's Dinner? DISGRACEFUL". Cool, so I of course reported the number to my carrier, and they blocked the number. I don't know how, but these guys apparently found out I blocked them, so now they sent me another message from a different phone number with a different area code (I'm seeing some from Florida, New York, West Virginia, and California).

At this point, I called the IT department at my work and they didn't really tell me much. They just blocked those emails, and they looked up login locations and traced IP addresses and stuff, and he said all was normal. He then asked if anyone I knew would do something like this, and I lowkey have a coworker who doesn't like me that much - they do know my email, phone number, and home address - but I don't want to go pointing fingers unless I know for sure it's them.

Okay, so I figured I would just ignore emails and continue to report the spam messages to my carrier, I don't mind. HOWEVER, during work today, there were two deliveries made to my house. The first delivery was at 3:30 PM, it was prepaid, and it was from a local grocery stores. It was condoms. The second delivery was at 6:00 PM after I got home from work, it was also prepaid, and it was from a DIFFERENT store, and that one was tampons + vaginitis creams - I'm a dude. Here's the thing about those two deliveries, if it was from Doordash, Instacart, or any other delivery system, there should be a name and receipt in the bag should there not? Interestingly enough, both of those deliveries did not. I don't know why or how, if whoever is using my likeness is telling these deliverers to take the receipt out the bag, so I can't find out the name, email, or credit card number on them, but it fucking sucks. Then, an hour later, there was another Doordash for food. It was not prepaid, so the dasher asked for cash when I opened the door. I told them the situation, and they showed me the account and order. It was my name just spelled slightly incorrectly. For example, if my name was John Smith, the name on the account would be like John Kiss. So, this was the confirmation I needed that all this shit that is happening to me, my family, and my home is because of me. There was a phone number on file for that order and lo and behold it was from fucking Nevada. I have never set foot in Nevada and MY area code is one in Ohio. Of course when we called the number, it immediately went to voicemail.

As far as y'all know, would this start because of my work email? How is my address and phone number tied to my email? I lowkey don't use my email for anything, I don't sign up for shit using it, I don't press any emails or links unless I know it's from people in my organization (typically I look at the email address of course, and their portrait is right next to the damn email), and I have literally never sent a message to anyone or anything using that email. The only thing I can think of is I lowkey go on fishy websites to get ROMs for like ps2 games for my emulator, and I go to those free movie websites, but how would those be linked to my work email y'know, and how would they find my address if I didn't make an account?

Any thoughts? Again, IT blocked those emails, but I thought they would've shut it down and made me a new one. I was going to ignore the text messages, but everyone around me has been telling me to get a new phone number, and I guess I might just do that. As for my address and the deliveries, I mean there's not really anything I can do other than either sell the house and move or contact police, but again I don't really want to do that.
