Fly Fishing Spots
Got a fly rod but no waders/wading boots, anywhere I can fish a stream/lake from the shore without too much trouble on the back cast?
I’m in Edgewater, willing to drive!
(Very new to this, thank you!)

Anyone else?
Never had issues before this, so doubtful it’s my PC.
I’m in edgewater, got a fly rod, few wooly buggers— what are some cool streams/creeks I can get to within 1 hour that are easy to access?
Was thinking of places like Caldwell woods.
Don’t care what I’m catching!
Thanks!
Have a basic fly rod, want to fish about the city in ponds and streams, maybe shore fishing at the lake.
I don’t want to invest in a large assortment of flies just yet, what are some widely applicable flies I should stock?
Thanks!
Is there any way to copy text from Epic Canto?
And I will end its life

My SNAP application was denied today, I have been on Medicaid with a redetermination date of 4/2027, and was told during the interview that being denied from SNAP will likely result in early termination of Medicaid even though I wasn’t applying to Medicaid again.
Does this seem accurate? Is there anything I can do to prevent this?
Please let me know what other info about my case would help answer this.
For obvious reasons I’d like to avoid being suddenly uninsured.

Im a new med school grad aiming to enter RAP ASAP (minimal chance of PSLF in my specialty) -- If entering RAP and minimizing interest growth is my goal, how should I navigate the 6-month grace period?
I would rather pay the minimum RAP payment than continue to acrue interest during the 6 month period.
Thanks for your help.
Is it possible to make payments during the Grace Period to avoid acruing more interest? (ie: Enrolling in RAP and just paying during the Grace Period)
Edit: Incoming Radiology resident, unlikely to PSLF.
Just picked up a 2017 Corolla! Previous owner's last oil change was at 49k miles, and I'm now at 52,500. When should I go in for my next one?
Also, do I need to take it to a Toyota dealer or can I go to a regular shop? Anything particular to ask about the oil change? Looking to keep maintenance costs reasonable while staying on top of it.
Any advice appreciated!
If I wanted to tie flies (no target fish, just a variety of fun simple stuff) only for the purpose of arts and not to fish with— what’s the least expensive way to go about this?
I was thinking a beginner kit, but thought maybe a vise and a particular pack of material would be better?
Thanks for your help!
Whats the fastest way to access/damage a radio when it’s behind a built up rep station?
Have tried C4 on the rep station, but still takes some lengthy digging to get past what remains of the rep station.
What’s the best way to deal with this?
I'm starting a job at Saint Francis Hospital-Evanston in July. Does anyone know if they have a fitness center or any partnerships with local gyms that offer employee discounts?
Thanks!
Just bought a 2017 corolla used with 52k miles— had one mechanic recommend transmission fluid change now and another at 60k miles, what’s the consensus on this?
Also, total fluid change vs flush? Dealer vs local mechanic?
Thanks!
They have a wide mix of great and horrible reviews— what’s been your experience?
Any reputable mechanics in the area that do pre-purchase inspections?
Thanks
Moving to Edgewater by the Granville train stop, will be working at St Francis Evanston Hospital -- wondering what gyms people recommend for a commute like this?
Thanks!
Hi everyone,
I'm an MD, MPH with annotating experience from other platforms, I have been applying to several roles I should meet the qualifications for and have been denied--I understand its normal to apply to many roles until you land a contract, and I am wondering if there are ways to make your profile more appealing in this domain specifically?
For example, my CV is very comprehensive (STAR approach, NPI number listed, Clinical and Research experiences detailed).
Are there any other tips or advice you'd recommend for landing roles in this domain, such as recruiters to contact or staffing agencies to be a part of?
Thanks!
Looking to buy a dealer certified pre-owned, willing to travel, which dealers do you guys recommend in and around Chicago?
Hey guys,
I used to fly fish back home but never tied flies— I live in a city now and just want to learn to tie flies as a hobby, is there a kit I can buy that’s high quality enough but won’t break the bank?
Thanks!
