Rust repair around the jack point

As you can see in the 1. Pic. There apears to perchance maybe be a little rust by the rear jacking point. Gotta love having the roads covered in salt in the winter.. Have cut out the bad metal and am now prepared to grind/chemicly remove the remaining rust before welding new metal on.

Remember to clean your oil pump filter

Was driving when the oil pressure light came on. Was about 1km away from home so I kept driving (big mistake) the engine died shortly after. I found out why the light came on..

The first cylinder rod bearing is most likely gone. After cleaning the filter and pan the engine now starts but makes a squeaking noice from rod bearing nr. 1. :( REMEMBER TO CLEAN THE PUMP

(Norway) my findings searching an old homestead

Found on an old homestead that was last lived on in ~1910. The axeheads cleaned up good after 2 days in the electrolysis tank. Also found an old medalion that to my research there were only given out 300 of them in the span of 40 years up to 1884, so quite the find.

Made a vice stand using a little this and a little that

Some of the parts used includes: a tractor wheel spacer for the base, parts from a rotovator for the feet and the red thing mounted to the middle of the pole.

Need advice on my project

Need advice from seasoned metalworkers/welders. I already know it will get critique but I hope most people come with constructive criticism.

This is my first real metal/welding project. I'm making a frame for mounting a regular tractor snowplow to the front using what I have laying around(last pic is the inspiration) only things missing are adding some welds here and there, the trip springs and winch.

Do you think this will be sufficient for the job? If not, where should I add more strengh/bracing? I am also trying to remove ass much weight from the plow as possible without removing the original connection points. The metal in white scribbles will be removed.

I estemate the plow itself to be about 200-250kg +/-. The frame is about 20-30kg, can be easily lifted by hand

Ford 3000 hydraulic pressure line problem

I was having trouble where the pressure line would pop out of the fitting with little to no load.

Tried installing a new pressure fitting with no luck. After some research I found out there is a bracket that is supposed to hold the line in place, but somehow my pressure line must be bent or something because I had no chance to get it in the bracket without it feeling like the line would snap. So I had to weld on an extra bit to the bracket to make it hold it in place. All is good now

Finally solved the problem with my hydraulic pressure line

My Ford 3000 was having trouble where the pressure line would pop out of the fitting with little to no load. Tried installing a new pressure fitting with no luck. Lost almost 10L of hydro-fluid with trial and error.

After some research I found out there is a bracket that is supposed to hold the line in place, but somehow my pressure line must be bent or something because I had no chance to get it in the bracket without it feeling like the ling would snap. So I had to weld on an extra bit to the bracket to make it hold the line. All is good now

Found a possible Bouncing Betty land mine pressure fuse

Found this in my barn, and was nervous touching it because it reminded me of the top part of the German ww2 bouncing Betty landmine. I was kinda right thinking that. According to google image search it looks about right. It looks unused because of the pins but I'm not sure.
