My Andouille, Crab, Shrimp and Crawfish Gumbo

One of the staples at my home. I use Savoy's Andouille and Louisiana Gulf shrimp and Louisiana crawfish and Gumbo Crabs.make my roux, use the Trinity, garlic, parsley and okra. Seasoned with Tabasco, bay leaf, a blend of Tony's, some Cayenne, some Slap ya' Mama, and a touch of liquid seafood boil and a good bit of W Sauce and a bit of Kitchen Bouquet.

For this batch I was making it for my mom, who has a seafood allergy, so I made it with a roasted chicken, baked the bones and then made the broth with the bones. Then I separated out half and added a seafood broth made with Shrimp shells from the shrimp to one half, then added crab meat , then the shrimp and crawfish. Turned it off and let it sit until it hit 140° and then put it in the fridge overnight to blend the flavors together well.

Second photo shows it served.

That thing that doesn't happen won't be happening in Texas

5th Circuit rules that Texas CAN require ID and/or a Social Security number matching state records for that voter in order to vote by mail.

*as if that information hasn't already been hacked by China and Russia 🤔

Which window treatment in the arched window do you prefer here?

I've just ordered the plantation shutters for the windows, but undecided on casing and trimming the window and putting in a faux wrought iron insert, or use a custom arched shutter and looking for opinions. It's AI generated so not accurate in scale, but close.

Implant in / Crown screwed down. Food being trapped. How to address with the dentist?

In December, my crown was installed (lower left back molar) on the implant peg. At the time it felt great. No food getting trapped. 4-5 months later, I'm back to chewing on the right because every time I chew on the left food gets trapped, it squeezes in food as I chew and causes irritation, which, of course, inflames the gum, and it just gets worse over time.

Yesterday, I went to see the dentist and he suggested drilling out a filling on the tooth next to it and building up the filling to fill the space. As I was setting the appointment the front desk said they would call me and let me know how much my part would cost. I'm wondering:

A. Why doesn't he unscrew the crown and have it rebuilt CORRECTLY and,

B. Why should I have to pay my for work that is to correct his existing work?

Removing wooden handrail and reinstall

I need to remove the rail from the wall. I am looking for suggestions and or explanation of any difficulties in removing this. Just want to avoid tearing up the wall and have to patch, tape, float and texture before painting this stairwell.

Optionally, I leave in place to remove all the paint but I could perform a much better return to stain condition off the wall instead of on the wall.

Replacement trim kit search

ChatGPT says it is 70% certain this is a Valley shower valve, but could be a Delta 600 series.

Can I unscrew the brass nut and remove the trim plate to expose the cartridge to be certain?

Also, assuming this is correctly identified, are there options available for replacing the trim in black? I don't care if it's round or rectangular, just changing everything out to black.
