Waterproof eye makeup suggestions for watery eyes?

Hiya, like the title says, my eyes are often hella watery! It’s mainly if I’m in the sun, I’ll be crying real tears if it’s too bright out no matter what I do. I have light blue eyes and I think the lack of melanin makes me extra sensitive to bright light. They’re not watery otherwise, I would consult a doctor if it was a constant issue but it’s only bothersome if I’m wearing a full beat on a sunny day.

I’ve got my base foundation and skin products down. I am able to create a relatively waterproof base with products I already have. However, I am sick to death of crying my eye makeup off! I have been avoiding waterproof eye products for a while because I’m honestly lazy and historically have found them to be harder to remove, but I’m done with ruining a nice beat because my eyes won’t stay dry.

TLDR: If you have a go-to waterproof mascara, or liquid, pencil, and/or gel liners, lid primer, or under eye concealer that you swear by, can you please let me know? Or if you have waterproofing tips, please fill me in?

I’m not really on social media outside of Reddit these days, and I feel like I’ve sort of fallen behind on what’s good in the makeup world. I generally don’t like to spend more than $20 or so on a single product but I can be convinced to go high-end if it’s really worth it.

About me for product reference: I only wear black mascara and liner, and I am very pale with a cool pink undertone. My skin type is slightly oily but I am lucky that it’s very forgiving and so I can wear a wide variety of products without issue.

Thank you so much!

But on the real usually my guy and I spend all our time together and this is the first time we’ve been apart for more than a few days in a very long time and I’m kinda sad. I am enjoying being a sandwich goblin tho

How to best give advice/criticism to a new DM who’s railroading?

I’m a “forever DM” , I’ve been running 5e and more recently 5.5 in different games on and off for about 10 years. I don’t claim to be the most knowledgeable person when it comes to the rules and mechanics, but I’ve definitely learned how to keep the game fun and engaging for everyone at the table through my experiences. Recently, a buddy of mine who has been playing various editions of DnD for many years, but has never DM’d before, asked if I’d like to be a player in his new campaign. For context, I’m about twelve years younger than this guy and less experienced than him in most things in life—except this.

We’re three sessions in, and I’m having some major issues with how he runs his game. In short, he’s just railroading everything. He has a big story that he wants to tell, with many complex NPCs he’s created. Whenever one of the players tries to explore, question, or investigate the environment, he’ll essentially say that whatever we want to do is impossible, and then he’ll go off into long monologues about what our characters are **actually** seeing/doing. We had some “combat” in the last session where he just had some of his home-brewed, tricked-out, super high level NPC fighters absolutely wail on us for about 30 (real life) minutes. Any time we tried to attack, move, or do anything, he’d either straight up tell us no, or he’d have us roll behind the DM screen before explaining why we failed. He’d frequently explain what the NPCs were about to do to us, why that was possible (for example, he had decided to give one of the NPCs 3 bonus actions), and then would graphically describe how we were getting our asses kicked. Then of course at the last minute the villains decided to let us live to tech us a lesson, so we didn’t all die. This whole encounter was extremely frustrating for me. I didn’t feel like I was playing DnD, I felt like I was being forced to watch a bad episode of some anime or something.

This guy is a good friend. He’s clearly having a lot of fun with world building and home-brewing his own characters. I don’t want to hurt his feelings, but I also can’t stand another session of sitting there idly while the DM plays the game for me. Is there any good way to offer him some serious advice about how to better run his game? I would love to talk to him about some techniques and tricks I’ve picked up over the years, but I don’t want to come across as condescending or insulting. I also recognize that I’m a guest at his table, and this isn’t my show to run. Given our age difference, I also want to be respectful of the fact that he generally has more gaming (and life) experience than I do. But at the end of the day, he’s making some mistakes that are taking the fun out of the game for everyone, and I feel like I need to say something.

Tallyrand (A+)

That’s it, really, I just love them. What a great diner. I consistently have delicious food there, I love that they’re making almost everything from scratch, I love the friendly and welcoming staff there. Recently was watching some old episodes of Huell Howser on PBS and loved his episode on them. My husband and I went for dinner on Friday (we usually go for breakfast) and I was just delighted by my meal. Strong Mai Tai from the bar, hot buttered cappuccino chip muffin (iykyk) and a perfectly cooked salmon dinner with a baked potato. Plus my husband’s dinner, his drink, and a dessert, total bill was $85. These days, in LA, that feels like a great value! We were the youngest couple in the restaurant by about 50 years. The bar was hopping and full of locals enjoying themselves. The vibes were immaculate. Honestly just had such a great time that I wanted to hop on here and share! If you’re looking for a great meal in Burbank/the Valley any time of day I highly recommend Tallyrand.
