Looking For A Company To Help Register My Business Name & Logo As A Trademark
Hello!
I’m looking to register a trademark for my established business and would appreciate recommendations for a reputable company or IP solicitor to handle the application.
I’ve recently had some unexpected correspondence regarding a potential trademark application for a name I’ve been trading under for years. I’ve taken legal advice through my business insurance and have been advised to look at registering the trademark myself.
I’m looking for someone who can properly advise on the mark, classes and existing trademarks, rather than simply filling in the IPO application form.
Ideally looking for someone experienced with small businesses and UK trademarks, and reasonably priced.
Who have people used and would genuinely recommend? Also, are there any companies you’d avoid?
Thank you!
Anyone Successfully Claimed The Scottish Government/ Ev Saving Trust Communal Charging Grant?
In the early stages of trying to get my factor to look into this. would require agreement from the other residences. The fact it’s 100% funded will help but worried it’ll be an uphill battle, especially as Ross & Liddell tried so hard to put me off to begin with. Over £1500 a year in factor fees & the first thing they said was ‘ohh we get invoked in EV charging, it’s in our T&Cs.’ Has anyone else managed to successfully apply?

Supercharger Paisley - Planning Permission Granted
For those in the Renfrewshire area, or who travel here often, we're getting our first (hopefully not last) supercharger. The planning permission has been granted. Hopefully it's not long until they start on it. Anyone know how long it normally takes?
I've put both the daily record article and the link to the planning application itself below.

Model Y Lease Offer
Got a email today from Tesla regarding the MY Standard. They’re offering it for £299 a month with £3786 down. 24 months, 8k miles per year.
Does anyone remember what it was last quarter? i ordered a M3 so don’t have it to hand myself. The M3 standard is still higher priced at the moment.
M3 Standard - Sound Treated Glass?
I’m asking this here as the spec of the M3 standard seems to really depend on country. Can anyone with the vehicle (or knows them) tell me if it comes with the acoustic glass all round (including the roof) or just the front windows? I know in America it’s just the front but the website is a bit ambiguous for the UK.
Also, for those who have driven both standard & premium back to back, did you notice a difference? I’ve driven both but was a few weeks between them
Thank you!
Do You Still Drive?
With the advent of FSD, do you still ’drive’ the car yourself by choice or are you fully autonomous now, only intervening when required?
Message From In App Chat - How Reliable?
Got a message stating my M3 Standard RWD will come with the 16inch screen & black headliner after I asked. Currently showing September/October delivery. No VIN yet so cannot check the parts site. Do we find the Tesla live chat fairly accurate or no? First Tesla so new to all this!
Base Model 3 RWD in Scotland - Opinions?
Hey all,
Currently considering a base model 3 as I can lease it for £314 a month for 2 years (10k miles). I’ve always wanted a Tesla but not being able to home charge has put me off. But think I might take the punt as I have a few places I can charge at (including a 7kWh at 45p per kW).
I have previously test drove a model 3 but it was a duel motor. I understand it has a nicer interior & better suspension. Has anyone driven the base model, specifically round Glasgow & can report back how it rides?
Also, our winters in the central belt. What sort of milage should I expect to get out of it? 250 on a full battery or more/less?
Waymo Has Got Me Excited About Driving Again!
I love driving, being in control of a complex piece of machinery. Feeling the road and hearing the growl from the exhaust. Yet nothing has me more excited about the future of cars than my recent holiday in San Fransisco and my time spent taking Waymos, literally everywhere! (Apologies to all those who use these to commute this fine city. It was me, the reason you couldn’t book one).
I am self-employed, a window cleaner. This means on a typical day I drive to a property, remove my equipment from the van, clean the windows, and pack up again before heading to the next job. I do this up to 30 times per day. This is boring. This is not driving. It’s arduous, makes me tired and often due to others, though admittedly my own mistakes also, leaves me frustrated. A self driving van would change all that.
I can see it now. I jump in first thing, still rubbing my eyes. The navigation system, integrated with customer scheduling software, already knows my first stop and has charged the battery enough to get me through the day. Someone cuts me up on the way. I don’t mind. The FSD simply drops us back slightly, allowing them room. A road is closed up ahead? No problem, we’ll head to another job first and circle back. By the end of the week I’m tired. I’ve still got a manual job after all. But I’m not frustrated, at least not because of driving. And here’s the best part, it’s now the weekend.
Saturday morning, first light. I fire it up. The flat 6 roars into life. I’m behind the wheel of my 911 (ok, Golf GTI if we’re being realistic). I depress the clutch, slide the shifter into first. I release the handbrake and we’re off, heading for Loch Lomond and the empty, curving waterside roads. For the first time this week I’m actually driving. Not for business, not for getting my messages, not because I’m going somewhere and just need to get there, but because I want to. The only time I touch a steering wheel is when I’m in the right mood, the perfect frame of mind. Wide awake and ready for a thrill. This is the future I’m excited for.
I know this may never come to be. Driverless cars may hit an unsurpassable roadblock. Human driven cars may end up completely banned (though in the case I foresee track days becoming far more popular and accessible). Or perhaps manual labour robots will be a thing first and I’ll be out of a job! Either way, for the first time in a long time, I’m excited by technology again and I’m excited by cars. I’m excited about driving!
Realise this is a niche question but I don’t have enough karma to ask in the AMG subreddit.
2025/2026 UK A35h, does the Touring trim now include AMG RIDE CONTROL as standard? Configurator shows it does but brochure says no. I would be inclined to believe the brochure but I sat in one in the show room and it had the changeable suspension in the settings. Unfortunately as it’s a new trim level I’ve been unable to test drive one. Salespeople haven’t been much help either.
