How long to wait before asking for Fully Remote?

There are plenty of reddit posts where people ask if they should consider a switch to cloud engineering if they want to be fully remote:

Answers are always similar, like "entry level = rare/unlikely" and "after many years = very common"

So my question is this: At your company, after how many years of working on-site do you think it would be acceptable for a entry-level cloud engineer to request switching to fully remote?

(I'm happy to answer any personal questions through DM if you need more details about my situation!)

Does anyone else use a non-thumb key for Space?

For other self-masochistic people who change their Vial layout every few months lol

I'm considering putting in where my right pinky rests, instead of ";"

Seems like a waste of prime home-row real estate for a rare keypress

Philippines English level is a CON, not a PRO

(1) Because filipinas consume western reels/shorts/tiktok... their minds are closest to the western women you are probably trying to escape. Very common to see girls write on fb/ig things like

  • expects gifts/spoiling: "passenger princess / if he wanted to, he would"
  • mocking men: "rooting for you short kings"
  • empowering sexual freedom: "back to my fling era bc my lover girl era didnt work out" / "got a long list of exlovers bc i love the players, and you love the game" (taylor swift lyrics deeply ingrained and memorized by every filipina lol

(2) Open any filipinas bumble/tinder. Not only are they talking with ppbs in the 50 mile radius, they are often actively talking with 10+ more men overseas in passport/travel mode. Mostly possible due to english level.

(3) My relationships in indonesia & thailand where we were limited to baby english conversations like "this tastes good" and "finished work?" were so much more peaceful. Give a woman the ability to argue/complain and she will exercise it to the fullest lol

Sigh but why do I still love it here... 😔

Most position locked hero?

What hero, throughout their entire dota history & metas, has only been playable in one position? (In any reasonably serious game. Ignore griefs)

How true/false: Baguio People are more Cold/Distant/Nonchalant than the Rest of PH

Hi everyone, I am preparing for my move to Baguio soon, and as I do more research about Baguio, I keep seeing anecdotes/discussions that people in Baguio are more Cold/Distant/Nonchalant than filipinos elsewhere.

Baguio locals are Cold

Baguio Nonchalant

Baguio people dont want to interact with strangers due to Tourism Fatigue

Baguio people have a "Distant" Aura

How true do you guys find this to be?

Especially interested in the opinions of non-native Baguio-ans who grew up elsewhere in PH
