Is she a he?

Guys this is my baby girl Doris. Regardless of what you say she is going to remain my baby girl Doris, but I’m asking anyway. Is she a man? I see it. But it’s not like insanely obvious and it’s new (she’s 2.5 years old and hasn’t, to my knowledge, had it previously) so is it possible that she’s still a she and this is just something else entirely? Thanks guys 😪

Hello dads.

Men, I need your help. As an 18 year old girl I myself have no idea what my father might want for Father’s Day but you lot, as fellow men, must surely be able to help.

My dad is 62 years of age and has terminal cancer, so for his last Father’s Day my sisters and I have been trying to find a good enough present for him but it is so incredibly difficult!!

Even before the cancer he was hard to buy for because, yaknow, men. But now it’s quite literally impossible. He doesn’t eat much, but we’ve gotten him some of his favourite snacks anyway. He can’t do anything physical because the cancer is in his lungs which kind of makes that difficult lol. He no longer drinks. He is losing a lot of weight so no point buying him clothes, and he does a lot of Lego but we’ve practically bought out the entire store for him at this point.

He likes boats, had one of his own but can’t sail it anymore. Likes the sea, and building things, and his dog. Not much to go off of I understand but any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks all.

Stuck shed?

Hi guys! This is Doris. Doris is not a big fan of me or the fact that I exist, and so I haven’t been able to check her over properly since I got her in March.

This is also the first evidence of her shedding I’ve seen since and I’m concerned that it might be stuck and irritating her. Obviously I understand that I can give her a soak but that’s not really possible as she doesn’t let me anywhere near her, and she does have a humid hide but refuses to go into it? Is it possible this will come off by itself or will I have to do something about it myself?

Also, quick extra question, she’s supposedly two and a half year old, does she look okay for that age? Is she an okay weight would you say?

Anyway! Thank you so much in advance!!

What do I do?

Hi everyone! I’ve found this gecko for sale on the pets4homes app and he seems to be severely mistreated. I want nothing more than to take him in and give him a better life but I am just not in the right place financially to do that for him. I believe I would be able to sort out his substrate and hide situation but It would be about two/three weeks until I could upgrade his tank and his heat and uvb. I’m wondering what you guys think I should do about it? Do I message and ask that he makes sure whoever gets him will do better by him? Do I take him in myself and do what I can until I have the money? I just don’t want him staying like that. Also, from the picture, does he look unwell? Would he need to be taken to the vet? Thanks in advance for any and all advice!

How long until I can use loose substrate?

Hi! I got my boy about a week ago. I was told by his previous owners that he is around four months. They had him in sand which I switched out for paper towels the minute I brought him home, and now I’m wondering when would be the ideal time to switch to loose substrate? I’m also wondering how old they have to be to properly be able to determine the sex? His previous owners called him a boy so I’ve just been rolling with that for the time being until he lets me check

Is something wrong with his eye?

Hi guys, I just got my gecko a couple days ago and I’ve woken up this morning and he’s shutting one of his eyes. He’s asleep now but he was fine last night and then like this this morning and I’m a little worried.

Advice 🙏

Hey guys, this is my baby Rupert, I just got him yesterday. He’s four months I believe and I want to confirm how often I’m meant to be feeding him, and also how it works with calcium and multivitamins. I have obviously done my research but I want to run it by people who know what they’re doing first. Thank you!

Hi! Can anyone tell me if my girl is too small? She hatched New Year’s Day 2024 so she’s about two years and a bit. She’s my first so I’m not completely sure how big they’re supposed to be so I thought I’d ask. Sorry for the pics, best I could get because she’s quite afraid of me 😬
