Classic bifold in natural veg tan leather.

Nothing more classic than natural veg tan leather. This commission was for a classic 9 pocket bifold. Saddle stitched with cream ritza tiger thread.

All freshly oiled and sealed with a light resolene coating so it can still gain a nice patina. You can see part of a scar on the spine in the first picture.

Dragon bifold with pink scales. Its a first.

My first dragon scale bifold with light rose pink scales. I have never gotten an order with light rose pink and it looks great. The edges are light blue and the hand stitching was done using white ritza tiger thread. This was my 7 pocket w/ID options.

All handmade from natural veg tan leather.

Natural bifold wallet sith cream stitching.

A natural veg tan bifold wallet with cream ritza hand stitching. This is my 9 pocket design. The customer wanted something that would patina nicely over time. I gave it a diluted resolene coating after oiling it to help preserve the leather but not prevent a patina.

Dragon scale bifold wallet in light rose pink. Never used that color before.

I've been making wallets for years and even though I offer Light Rose Pink as an option, I've never been commissioned to make a wallet with it. A few days before this I used a little on a dragon wing but this is the first scale wallet with it.

I think it came out really cool. If it wasn't for the overcast clouds, you'd see how bright it really was but it still looks good in the pictures. The edges are Light Blue and the thread is white ritza. This version is my 7 pocket w/ID options. All handmade from natural veg tan leather.

Dragon Minimalist Bifold with matching belt loop/keychain.

This was an interesting commission order. They wanted a minimalist bifold with a jade edge fade but green dragon scales. I wish it wasn't overcast out when I took the pictures cause its hard to pick up the color change on my camera. You can see the slightly darker edges on the inside wallet pics but it doesn't show the full fade and only the darkest parts. They also got a matching dragon scale keychain/belt loop.

I make these by hand from natural veg tan leather. The saddle stitching on this one is yellow ritza tiger thread. The edges are burnished with beeswax and this person wanted a grommet for a belt chain. It hold up to 6 cards and 15 unfolded bills while still fitting in a front pocket.

Any custom die companies that can bend slightly below right angle angles? I can't find any reputable ones that will do it. I'm in the U.S.

I'm trying to get custom dies made for a wallet and a keychain in the shape of a dragon wing but the company I've been talking with can't bend the angle for the T pocket. The bend is maybe 88 degrees instead of 90. It's minuscule from what I can tell. But I don't make dies so maybe its hard than I think.

I started with the dragon wing to get an idea for the cost but I am really looking for the wallet and the wing is an add on.

At the Leather Stamp Maker (LSM), they sent back modifications with curves on every sharp tip on the wing. They were still pointed but softened into nubs at the end. They warned of sharp edges costing more in the form and I checked the box for that when I sent in the pattern and still got curves. However, they were able to keep the curved shape of the talon at the top of the wing. Imagine the thumb on a bat wing. Basically that. But I didn't want curves so they were out since Weaver could.

At the Weaver, the dragon wing had a little compromise on the curve of the talon at the top of the wing because they said the machine couldn't handle the curve. I adjusted it since the mod they sent dipped it a little farther down for what I wanted, and it was approved. I'm happy with it cause I got to keep the sharp edges and still got a slight swoop but it's straight enough that they can do it.

Then I sent Weaver the wallet and they could do it all, except the downwards slope on the T pocket. They sent back a mod with it straightened out but that will not fit the pocket below at all since I angle my pockets. That's why the T pocket was angled the way it was, so it could stack.

Making that part straight would change the whole pocket underneath it. I'd have to adjust the angle of the wallet and adjust the measurements for the other pocket. I'm not willing to do that since I just simplified and finalized the design for it and I like how it goes together. I've seen plenty of cutting dies with angles steeper than this.

Anyone know of someone that will bend to a slightly below 90 degree angle? If it wasn't for the T Pocket, I would buy them right now but for the money I'm paying I want it done right. Or do I not understand how cutting dies are made at all and I'm asking for the impossible?

I made this dragon scale wallet out of leather

Hello! I wanted to share this wallet with turquoise dragon scales and a royal blue edge fade. I've finally hit a point where making this new design is second nature. Though I occasionally forget to put the snap into the bottom pocket and have to go back.

I call it a minimalist bifold cause it holds 6 cards and 15 bills in the back. I designed it, cut it from a 20 square foot hide of natural veg tan leather, hand tooled the dragon scales and border, then dyed it with the fade.

The wallet is oiled to get some of its flexibility and natural oils back, cause the alcohol dye dries it out, and I seal it to help preserve the color and provide some water protection. The inside edges are then sanded slightly and beveled to give them a nice curve. They are burnished with beeswax for some extra water protection and to slick down the fibers.

Then I glue the pieces together with leather cement and can start punching stitch holes with a chisel. It's a bit of a puzzle at this point cause certain pieces have to go together before others. Once holes are punched, I can put it on my stitching pony to hold the pieces steady while I saddle stitch them together by hand.

Saddle stitching is stronger than a machine stitch and will last much longer. Plus, the thread won't unravel if a stitch does break and you can burn the excess as a quick fix until you can get it repaired. Once that's all done, I sand the outside edges, make sure they are dyed or redye them, and burnish with beeswax to seal them up and slick down the fibers.

I use a bone awl on the pockets to break off the glue from the stitching and give it a little stretch, plus test to make sure its stitched correctly. Put some cards in check the fit and give it a little polish with my horsehair brush. Its done!

What are some fun riddles/puzzles for a oneshot with my experienced players?

Running a oneshot tonight. The party is once again going to be teleported to the Feywild to help/entertain Lord Lobos, the archfey of lambs, squeakies, and delicious treats.

He's my dog as a fey lord. Its a low stakes oneshot that is only partially canon. The first time I did this, I had some ridiculous skill check tasks and kindergarten-1st grade dog riddles for a large obstacle course.

The second time, Lord Lobos needed help finding his toy, bow tie, and collar so he could go to a fey ball. It had no riddles but weird puzzles to get his items back.

I want funny riddles, puzzle with weird solutions, and stupid jokes. All something a first grader could figure out... so hard enough for my players. I got a group of overthinkers.

They don't have to be dog related. I will take anything but I want whacky and weird. DnD related or not. Go wild. Give me your best riddles, puzzles, and jokes.

Minimalist Bifold with oxblood dragon scales.

I think this color combo is my new favorite. This Minimalist Bifold is oxblood dragon scales with a black edge fade. It was saddle stitched with white ritza tiger thread and the edges burnished with beeswax.

I'm not sure why they wanted Sheep as the initials but it makes me laugh. The white thread fits well with the rest of the wallet. I'll have to make another when I'm done with orders.

Bifold wallet with jade dragon scales.

I had a commission recently for a 7 pocket bifold wallet with jade dragon scales. The customer preferred solid black pockets over jade with a black fade. I like the solid colored inside but I'm not sure if it should be the default. Usually I have a central color with an edge fade done on the inside pockets.

This was hand tooled on natural veg tan leather, dyed, and then hand stitched with green ritza tiger thread. The edges were burnished with beeswax.
