My journey went something like this (with some fillers inbetween)

Raised on rock -> slipknot -> fit for a king -------------> face yourself.

After each step i always told myself i'd never go heavier but seriously just one song and i was hooked, it blew my face off instantly and i couldnt help but crank the volume to the max. I'm finding myself blasting their songs every time im in the car, Theyve jumped to the top of my watchlist.

I'm not talking "who played a song you liked" i mean what experience changed your life? For me? Tom Morello.

This was my first download, i'd wanted to come for 4 years and finally got the money to this year. Day 1 i had a whale of a time. Did my first mosh for silly goose, my first wall of death at paleface swiss (thank you gingerbread man for talking to me before hand and making me feel like part of the community since i was bricking it), i was 3 rows from the front for limp bizkit i had so much fun. Then day 2 i was sunburnt, in muscle pain and miserable, that carried on to day 3 until i saw Morello.

I've been listening to rage since i was 9. The first song i ever learned on guitar was bombtrack and every time i play my guitar its the first thing i play to warm up. I want a digitech whammy just for those songs. I have a RageATM "Rage Against The Machine" album vinyl and that song is the first. Imagine the scream/roar/surprisingly impressive vocal fry thats in the video i took when he played the opening riff for bombtrack. The first song i ever learned on guitar, The first song on every playlist i have. The first song on my vinyl. The song im considering dropping £200 on a pedal for, the song i want to buy a floyd rose for, and my idol, my hero, an actual living legend playing that song less than 20 yards from me? My heart flipped and i fucking screamed. All the pain went away everywhere and i was in awe. I doubt any set will ever beat that, I still havent come down from the high yet, Tom Morello has always been my favourite guitarist and seeing that set was absolutely lifechanging.

I hope other people at download had sets that meant as much to them as that, so i wanna hear your stories!!

And i'm not talking about your favourite books, i mean just your favourite things that happened. Like ferrus and fulgrim making each others weapons, or the orks eternally fighting in the warp. Funny or grimdark, what's your all time favourite?
