Wondering if someone in Vic could give me advice about getting my power on at a complicated property (need COES)

Hi folks,

So I bought a property near Ballarat. It has a cabin on it, and a meter box with a power point. The cabin and the meter box are not connected, and are on opposite sides of the property, as the previous owners put in the meter box intending to build next to it. I don't want to get the cabin connected, I literally just want the one powerpoint in the meter box to work so I can park my RV next to it. The power has been off at the property for more than 12 months.

I got an electrician in to do a COES (certificate of electrical safety) so I could get the power on. He issued a non-prescribed one. He said to get a prescribed one I needed to make an account with a retailer, get them to contact the distrubutor and physically re-energise the property, and only then could he do another inspection and issue the full COES. However, when I contact retailers, they all say I need the full prescribed COES to turn the power on. I rang the distributor (Powercor) and they said I needed to make an account with a retailer and the retailer needed to contact them. But I cannot make an account as I do not have a COES to get the power on. I rang energy safe Victoria, and they said the electrician should be able to put in the re-connection request with Powercor, but when I rung an electrician he said no it's the retailers job. So basically it seems I can't get power without a COES that I can't get without power.

Additonally, I seem to have messed something up somewhere along the way trying to make accounts with like 6 retailers and now when I try to sign up with retailers it comes up with business plans. I contacted powercor again to tell them its a residential property and they said I needed to make a business account with a retailer before they could switch it back to residential, but that doesn't sound right to me?

I've been trying for about 2 months now, but I've just been being bounced between people telling me it's someone else's job. So if anyone could give me abvice about what steps to follow or who to contact it would be great. I literally just want one single powerpoint to work, lmao. Thanks for any advice!

Anyone know a decent furniture remover? Or the best way to get rid of a couch?

Hi folks, apologies if this is the wrong place to ask,

I'm near Smythsdale. Old owners of my place left a bunch of their crap in the shed, including a couch and two armchairs, which are the only things I can't fit in my car to ger rid of. I want to use the shed at some point so I'd like them gone. Anyone know someone who will get rid of them for a decent price? I got quoted $750 but I feel like that's a bit high? Feel free to tell me if I'm wrong, haha. They have suspicious stains and smell like smokes so I don't think any donation place would want them.

Thanks!

Found this in my mailbox this morning. I'm obviously not going to plug it in but was wondering if anyone's seen something similar?

I'm in Victor Harbor but we don't have an active sub. I'm assuming it's some religion thing? I asked both immediate neighbours and neither of them got one, but I was wondering if anyone else did? The usb is sealed in the bag.

Tapes are a pretty rare find around here but I got really lucky today - 2 of my favourite childhood movies! Interestingly, they were all ex-rentals from a video store on the complete opposite side of the country that went under a decade or so ago.
