Import from Gog

Hello. Trying to install a game from gog into gamehub lite. So far I downloaded the offline install files and opened winlator to run the setup and put game files on my device. When I import the game into gamehub I’ll need to get into the launcher.exe to change graphical settings and such and then need them to apply to that container after I change to the games exe. I’m just confused how to do this properly. Been a minute since I tried gamehub lite and I think when I just imported game using the .exe it failed. Could be misremembering. Any help is appreciated.

Linux based systems on claw

This is a copy paste from a Linux sub I posted on that got no traction.

Hello. I’m looking at buying a new handheld. I have my eyes on the claw line. There are two variants. One with an intel chip (8 ai+) and one with a Z2e (A8). People are saying that the intel one is pretty locked to windows but the z2e is good with switching to Bazzite or others. This sounds great because I’d really like to play around with other OS and stuff. But there’s a few hitches.

The intel one runs more efficiently. Cooler. Sometimes the intel drivers need an update but they’re consistent with them. The z2e version doesn’t get many updates. The z2e device is louder. Feels hollow and cheap and has weird ergonomics with hard edges on hand rests and the like. People say the intel device feels more premium in the hand, and overall I see the sentiment that the 8 ai+ is the superior device but there’s people that love that z2e, truly love it.

I’m stuck between these two and would like to play around with the OS but these other concerns I’ve listed above make me lean kind of against the z2e at this point?

What choice would you make? Can this be remedied with future updates? Is there any way around the intel limitation?

Thank you.

Anyone know handhelds?

Hello. I’m going to purchase a claw 8 soon but I’ve read a couple posts from people saying that they’re experiencing issues with games using the 8 ai+ with the intel over the z2e. This kind of concerns me cause they said that light, cozy games were not getting the performance even on higher power settings and other settings tweaked. Other people said it’s just quirks with intel and could be fixed in future updates or not.

I tend to play older games. The fallout series is my favorite. Borderlands. Games like that. I’m concerned about compatibility and playability so I’d just like a definitive answer on which one I should get. They’re also shaped differently and I’m not a fan of AI but if I’m going to invest in this thing I wanna make sure I get the most practical, useable, less headache option. They both seem to be the same price at least for now. I could just use some help or explaining as to which one I want.

Thanks.

Hello. I currently have an old Alienware laptop with a couple extra ssd slots in it. My system is bloated and bogged down and I intend to set up dual boot for Nobara and windows

I’m buying this SSD: https://a.co/d/01hoVy18

With this thermal shield: https://a.co/d/0cBCZ97y

And this USB key: https://a.co/d/053wF3Ak

I plan to put Nobara on the usb key. Then unplug and shut down my laptop. The unscrew the back cover and remove the plate. Then I plan to install the new nvme ssd in slot two as well as the thermal shield. Replace back cover and screws.

Power on laptop and hold f12 to enter bios and disable safe booting and uefi are both enable. Should be by default from what I gather. Run Nobara through USB and run the installer with the dual boot options. I have an Ethernet cable set aside in case it doesn’t have drivers for my WiFi card but it’s a killer so it’s intel and should be supported. As well as my wireless keyboard and mouse are Logitech. Should be good.

Then it’s just down to testing out that everything is working in Nobara. I tried to think of everything. Let me know if I need anything else. Thank you.

0.9.0. Proton 9 ARM64ec. Ayn Odin 2 Portal. Snapdragon 8 gen 2.

Hello. I’m trying to play fallout 4. First of all I can’t get it to run in anything past proton 9. Proton 10 is just black screen and proton 11 force closes the session. I’ve tried to mess with all the things that are obvious and I can’t get background music on the opening menu nor character voices to function. I even stooped so low as to ask AI but I’m not sure it was totally familiar with gamenative and the exec arguments and settings changes it gave me didn’t work. I’ve installed direct x 10 jun2010 and that didn’t do anything. Switching audio drivers. Verifying file names in .ini and data. I’m at a loss. If anyone can help it’d be appreciated. Thanks.

0.9.0 Snapdragon 8 gen 2. Ayn Odin 2 Portal.

Hello. I tried running the direct x installer using the jun2010 redistributable and it said that my cpu doesn’t meet minimum requirements. But I’ve installed it before. I’m trying to run it in the fallout 4 container to restore character voices. I’m using proton 9 because I can’t get anything to run in proton 10 on this container.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
