We’ve been here 9 and a half years. Landlord has done nothing to the house the whole time we’ve been here.

Got an email yesterday from the real estate saying they’re sending in people for quotes to do carpeting, painting, and repairing a railing that has been rubbish since we moved in. So far, 3 people have called us today, one for carpeting, 2 for painting. Can that even be done with us in the house?

I have a lease until April, but can they cancel that early? They don’t have grounds. I’m ahead on the rent, on the day I pay I’m 6 weeks ahead. But can they terminate the lease?

I’m fully expecting to have to move when the lease ends. Now I am at least. I’m going to have to save everything I can for new bond I guess. But house hunting is going to suck.

Sorry. I’m stressed and wanted to vent. I really want to cry. Proves that even good tenants, who are ahead on rent, pay bills on time, and don’t ask for anything get shafted.

I just need to know where to go to get them. I love 6, it’s my favourite, but I really enjoyed 7 and would love to try 8.

SOLVED: of course it’s GOG

I buy these for nights when we’ve been busy. They’re pretty decent, and filling. The lasagne, bolognese bake and cottage pie.

Recently, there have been changes to the recipes and packaging.

I just wanted to inform any of the powers that be that the best before date is now nearly impossible to see, since it’s been put on the plastic covering the food instead of the cardboard sleeve.

Also, the bolognese bake, while still nice tasting for the most part, is now a bit too dry. Crunchy pasta is not my thing.

I guess my question is, can these be fixed?

I’m so glad we got to this point with Palworld and Pocket Pair. I’m happy they beat Nintendo, who were doing some really desperate shite to stop any decent competition.

I’m not even interested in monster capture games, Pokemon has never thrilled me but I have grandsons who love it. But I bought Palworld after Nintendo started their litigation. I wanted to support the little guy.

I did the same thing with an indie title called Darq. The dev was offered an exclusivity deal with Epic when they were buying everything up, but he refused. So I bought his game too, twice (ps4 and ps5, no free upgrade)

I might give Palworld a go now it’s fully released. It does look interesting, especially the base building bits.

I like supporting the little guy. Yes, Pocket Pair is well known now, but without so much focus on this case Nintendo could have shut them down forever.

My husband works at a servo (service station, gas station, petrol station, etc) and closes it 2 nights a week. His other days are more in the middle of the day.

I’ve been helping him with his close shifts lately. He hurt his knee, so I’ve been doing the rubbish drops, bringing in what can’t be kept outside overnight because of vandals/thieves, that sort of thing. It’s pretty simple, but requires plenty of movement which can be hard for him.

Tonight, I showed up to help him out, as usual. As I’m walking in, 4 teens entered just in front of me. They went to the snack stuff while I grabbed the newspapers and took them to the counter (they get topped and dropped in the recycling), then went to get a drink from the fridge.

I noticed on the floor a small bag of something white and powdery/crystally (I didn’t look too close) next to the slushy machine. I got a latex glove off hubby and picked it up and got him to put it in the bin.

Not 10 minutes later, a couple came in looking for it. Asked if “something” had been handed in, and got a bit put out when my husband said no.

I don’t feel bad about this. A kid could have put that in their mouth, and there were 4 teens already in the shop who could’ve taken it and hurt themselves.

But I don’t feel bad for the couple either. I know addiction is a hell of a thing, but put it in your wallet, not just loosely in your pocket. Why on earth would you leave it somewhere it could fall out? It’s so ridiculous.
