I love Jesus

I love Jesus

I love Jesus Christ of Nazareth who died for my sins so that I could have eternal life, how he died for the sins of the world to save the world, how He conquered death, how He lowered Himself to us, God of All. Lowered Himself to us so that He could save us. I love how He embodies goodness. I love how He loves us even as we are mocking Him, turning our back on Him, hating Him. I love how He is always there for us when we need Him and prayer often brings peace to my mind. I love that Heaven is something I can look forward to through Him. I love how how he led by showing us. I love the stories of King David, Moses and Elijah, men that God was able to elevate through Him. How these men were not made perfect but they were still great and loved. Often i may not understand why He did something that seems like meaningless or unnecessary suffering, but I accept that I am not all-knowing as He is, so I trust that since God is all-good, that He has reason for allowing those things to happen. I love that God doesn't want us to be blind to Him and Christianity is full of knowledge and wisdom and genius minds to back it. I love God.

No one ever talks about this about Dabi

How much that fire has to fucking hurt, it's like everyone thinks cooking himself alive doesn't mean extremely excruciating. I'm pretty sure that's because Dabi never shows pain. It's honestly one of the most lowkey annoying things in anime as a whole for me, Dabi is an embodiment of a "pain doesn't exist. So i can just do a bunch of supposed to be incredibly painful things super casually." It's fucking stupid. Pain cannot be completely overcome cause you're just like "nah, i don't feel it."

"It's fiction bro" it's still based in dominantly reality, meaning the characters are human.

I guess it's one of my little criticisms about Dabi, he never shows actual pain outside of mental (like when Twice died) or when he was like 11 and first burned himself horribly.

Dabi isn't alone in this bs trope, but all of them that are like this immediately get a negative point in my mind.

On something this random guy said that is a "major flaw" with AoT

"Why did the titan shifters stop at nine?"

I'm not really a fan of AoT since it's grim as hell but I respect it. I don't know why the titan shifters stopped at nine, I don't remember it being addressed in the series. I don't see it as a major flaw but I'm curious regardless.

I have seen the theory on it being based on Norse mythology, which i showed the guy, but he didn't care. Maybe just wanted to hate on what's popular, I don't know.

How morally justifiable (if at all) is it to gamble the sake of everyones lives off of trying to save a psychotic mass murderer?

Basically the dilemma in the end with Shigaraki and Deku. Deku is literally the only one who can stop him. If he doesn't, if he fails. Shigaraki destroys, kills everyone. Deku sees that he's hurting deep down though so wants to save him too. Is this morally justifiable? Neutral? Or possibly selfish cause you can't get yourself to make a hard call and kill him cause you feel like your conscience can't handle it or something?

What are the main criticisms with The Hobbit movies?

Besides them not following the source material/stretching it into a trilogy. Whenever i watch Lotr again i pretty much always do the Hobbit movies with them. Dragon sickness and Thorin getting infected was cool, Smaug was cool, the Sauron fights were cool, Legolas cameo was cool, etc. I really don't see why the movies are so hated.

I hate pain

Pain fucking sucks. It's debilitating, annoying, etc. Your nerves are like "hey that part is damaged. I'm letting you know it's damaged so you do something." Then you're like "okay" and then it keeps fucking hurting. Like okay I get it, why do you have to nag. Mental pain is just as bad too, if not worse! It's just random. It's like "hey, wanna be depressed? No? Too fucking bad. Reminder you're super fucking lonely and still dependant on your parents." Like fuck off brain and nerves and all.😭

What is Gudrid's purpose?

Okay... so I'm not really a fan of Gudrid. It's not her character so much as how she is used in the series. She has this kind of mini-arc about how since she's a woman she hasn't been allowed to do masculine things such as being a sailor and this is her main struggle. It's just... drama. Even in the Farmland arc we saw Thorfinn dealing with the trauma and brutality of his past. Einar went through Hell too as a victim of the kinds of raids Thorfinn did and they bonded and became brothers. There was Ketil, Arnheid and her husband that came for her. We saw strong character development in Omar, going from a sniveling rat to the leader of the farm after Ketil shut down because of Arnheid's death. But then after that we get... Gudrid dealing with the struggles of being a woman. Then after that once she's joined Thorfinn and company as they begin their journey to Miklagaard. What did she even do besides be the dumb comedic relief and kind of suddenly become romantically interested in Thorfinn which by the way it was bs that we didn't get to see Thorfinn's answer on screen but that's besides the point. Gudrid feels simply just there. Just along for the ride. Which i don't like. Thoughts?

Vinland Saga vs Berserk vs Attack on Titan

I'd say these are some of the best anime I've seen. So which do you guys think is the best? Genuinely curious.

Vinland Saga post-s2 is really boring

So i of course liked s1 and I thought s2 was pretty good as well. I recently started reading from where it left off and I'm currently at where Thorkell's son is telling everyone about his life and how his mom said he was a girl to save him from war life and all that. From just after s2 left off though it's been boring, the drama with Gudrid was... literally just that. Lots of drama. After they went on the journey they found the baby and there's, I don't know how many chapters of just them trying to take care of a baby. Hild is a cool character, but I'm not gonna lie her constantly telling Thorfinn "you trip up I'll kill you." got annoying pretty fast. The whole thing with Garm and the Jomsvikings was cool I guess, Yukimura successful killed tension with Halfdan's son and his friends a lot though. You guys get the idea, what I'm saying. It's not that things aren't moving, aren't happening. It's just happening in such a boring way that it's difficult to invest in the story, at least for me.

I thought this was the best part of the final episode and possibly the best part in the season. Nolan reminding Debbie of one of her values and asking Debbie to give him a chance and her actually listening to him.
