I posted my empty tank when I put it together here and got some really good advice.
I switched out the light, added another tiny filter for flow and some plants. Glueing the moss on rocks and fixing the sand boundaries next!

New tank waiting to stock fish! My girl is completely uninterested in it lol
What plants should I buy? Hoping to keep some Japanese rice fish or shrimps so it needs to be well-planted. Just set this up last night and waiting for it to cycle; will switch out for a better light at some point
Has anyone had trouble with the preset heater for the fluval 6 gallon betta kit? I just set up the tank a couple of days ago and the temperature has been hovering around 82-83. I checked again this a.m. and it came down to 79-80.
I’m wondering if the heater just needs to run for a few days to settle at 78, or should I return and opt for something more reliable …
Everyone raved about how good this girl was! Apparently, she gave some kisses, had plenty of belly rubs, and worked for some treats after her vaccines. I’m so proud!!
