Palo Alto Unified faces suit over mosque field trip
The plaintiffs claim in the suit that in fall 2025, students took a field trip to a mosque where they were provided with Qurans and taught that “Islam, in particular, promotes social justice.” Female students were allegedly provided with hijabs to wear and participants engaged with Noor Hifz Academy, the mosque’s religious youth program in which Islamic students memorize the Quran.
