[Hobby] Composer wanted for Soda Clicker — TurboWarp indie game
I'm looking for a composer/music producer to collaborate with me on Soda Clicker, an indie incremental game I'm developing in TurboWarp.
Soda Clicker is a progression-based clicker game. You start by earning currency through clicking, use it to purchase upgrades, and gradually unlock new sodas and increasingly powerful upgrades. The concept is intentionally humorous, but I'm treating it as a real project that I want to develop into a polished, finished game.
Current project progress
The game is currently in active development. I already have the core clicking/progression concept established, and I'm currently building out the game's upgrade and soda progression systems.
I'm deliberately keeping the initial scope fairly small so I can actually finish it, with additional content and polish planned as development continues.
The game is playable and being actively developed, rather than being an idea I'm looking to start someday.
The task
I'd like one original instrumental track, around 60–90 seconds long, that can seamlessly loop.
The track will be used as the main gameplay music, so it should be something that can be listened to repeatedly without becoming annoying.
The finished track should:
- Be original
- Be instrumental
- Be approximately 1–1.5 minutes
- Have a clean seamless loop
- Be energetic and catchy
- Feel playful/arcade-like without sounding childish
- Fit the game's general personality without being heavily soda-themed
You can choose the genre and instrumentation yourself. I'm not asking for a recreation of an existing song or a strict template — I mainly want something that works well with the gameplay.
I'd ideally like the final track exported as WAV or another lossless format, with an MP3/OGG version also being useful for testing.
About the collaboration
This is a hobby collaboration, so I currently don't have a budget for payment. You would receive credit in the game for the music you create.
I'm not looking for someone to produce an entire soundtrack. The initial task is specifically one finished gameplay loop. If we work well together, I'd potentially be interested in creating additional music for the game later.
I'm handling the programming, design, and development myself, and I'm actively working on the project.
If you're interested, comment below with a link to your music/portfolio and tell me what kind of music you normally make. I'd like to listen to your work before deciding who would be the best fit.
If you don't have a formal portfolio, that's completely fine — a few tracks you've made or a link to your music is enough.
Thanks!
