Should I pursue an MBA or a PhD after a Masters in Psychology?

Qualifications: I am 24 F, completed my masters in psychology last year and am GATE and NET qualified. Have been taking up hr internships since then as I have had no luck with jobs till now.

I am really worried about my career. I am turning 25 soon and it’s starting to get me- the pressure to settle, peers moving ahead in life, no fancy titles or degrees on my resume.

I am really anxious and confused at this point. What should I do next? Should I do an MBA or a PhD or just keep finding jobs?

Where to find fresher HR jobs?

Hi,
I have been looking for HR jobs after a masters in social sciences. I have done internships for the past year or so where I have managed end-to-end HR operations for remote teams.

It’s been an year of more than 2000+ applications across platforms like LinkedIn, Naukri, Wellfound, company websites and yet, here I am with no real offers.

The ones I do get are in Talent Acquisition which I’m not particularly interested in and they basically have work which is very easily automatable.

I’m genuinely tired now. Does HR have no future anymore? Am I in the wrong field?

What do I do? Where do I find jobs?

Books with dysfunctional families.

Specifically, books showing Indian dysfunctional families. I don’t want it to be a very heavy read. Just a glimpse into messy family dynamics and something slice of life style.

Thanks.

I am about to finish reading Convenience Store Woman. Can you suggest me similar books?

I have loved reading Japanese literature so far— The Devotion of Suspect X, The Housekeeper and the Professor, Kitchen, Breasts and Eggs, Sweet Bean Paste…

I also have an inclination towards slice-of-life style books.

Can you suggest me books that are similar to these? Doesn’t particularly have to be Japanese. I liked Jhumpa Lahiri’s books too.

Just please suggest short books that are somewhat easy to read.

Thanks!

[IND] What has your experience been as a PhD Scholar in India at top institutions (IISC, IITs, IIMs, and CUs)?

Hi, I am a Master’s graduate in Psychology and have been considering a PhD in Psychology/OB-HR from one of above listed institutions. Would love to know your experiences so far, be it anything— entrances, interviews, life as a scholar and after PhD. Basically, the good, bad, and the ugly.

Also want to know if starting your PhD in late 20s or early 30s is a disadvantage? And what impact has AI had in research, especially related to the fields I have mentioned?
