Trying to Install SL and encountering errors

Trying to Install SL and encountering errors

I have a new high-end Windows 11 PC (i9-14900K, 32GB RAM, NVIDIA 4090 [latest drivers], SSD) and I'm trying to install Second Life.

In the past, the installer file displayed the SL logo, but the installer downloaded from the website now only shows a generic "program" icon, almost like it didn't download correctly or it is broken. I tried downloading it from multiple browsers with the same results.

When I try to install Second Life, I get errors. I don't understand this error, considering I am installing it on a new computer that has never had it before.

And then when I select Repair the following happens.

I never had these issues before. Can someone help me?

EA removed Anthem from my library

I bought this game! By way of comparison, Valve doesn't allow publishers to remove games from any Steam customer libraries and when a publisher dies the game is still stored on Valve servers for download.

I've noticed that some products appear on eBay as preorder listings shortly after they sell out at retail.

Does eBay have specific guidelines around listing items before they are officially released?

I'm also curious whether there are any rules or discussions about limiting the early resale of newly released products. This could impact pricing and availability right after launch.

Would appreciate any insight into how this is currently handled.

Hello, fellow Windows Redditors. I could use your help with something I've recently noticed and now can't unsee.

In Windows 11, the empty bar at the top of File Explorer and other apps has a translucency effect. However, instead of reflecting the colors of whatever is actually behind the window, it only pulls colors from the desktop wallpaper.

For example:

You can see the greenish-blue tint coming from the desktop background, not from the app behind it. That doesn't feel right to me.

What I'd expect is true translucency, where the color of whatever window is behind influences the effect. Instead, it behaves more like a static blur tied to the wallpaper.

Can this behavior be changed, or is this just how Windows 11 handles translucency?
