Honestly surprised

I fell today. It’s being weak and letting the urges get to you that is the problem.

Now, this will be my last post here for a bit. I think it would be a waste of your time and mine if I made a post every time I fall.

That being said, this was a slip up and it kinda happened unexpectedly.

I’m honestly more disappointed and disgusted that I was for my last post.

I hope I don’t get punished for this. I know God isn’t just looking for a reason to punish us. I know.

I’m just afraid. I keep screwing up every time I try to do better.

I’ll see you guys again when I’m a week clean

Lord, forgive me, and please give me the strength to be stronger.

What the actual hell?

So, I was just happily reading some peak on WEBTOON when this monstrosity appeared.

Now I’ve been a lurker on this sub for a bit and I never planned to post here as I don’t have the luck(?) or bad luck to get shitty ads.

But today that changed. What, and I mean this genuinely, the fuck?

This has to be illegal right? Advertising little baby child Gwen Tennyson as a ‘girlfriend’?

I don’t know if someone has posted a finding like this or not, but this don’t sit well with me.

Update: This abomination showed up again

Genuine inquiry

After watching some of ThatGuyPredz’s challenge videos on Battlefront 2, I wanted to play it again.

I originally had it on PS2, but I was a dumb young teen that didn’t do too well with shooters, (especially this masterpiece) so I traded it for infinitely worse game (again, dumb teen) and later came to regret the trade.

But now that I’m older and more game savvy, I get it, I get how awesome the OG BF2 is

So since I am playing it again, this time I got it on PC, I can do the campaign solo and enjoy this absolute gem. There is just one question:

Is it a good idea to start with the Big Pain challenge right out the gate?

Part of me wants to do it, but the other part (the smart part) wants to actually enjoy the game before throwing myself into it.

Also, I’m genuinely curious, what are your favorite classes for each faction? Which are the classes you despise?

I’m new here so I figured asking questions would be the appropriate use of the Discussion flair.

Edit: On a serious note: I probably should have played it again before watching his videos, because I keep forgetting: It’s ok to die in the game. Then there’s the career stats, I feel like it HAS to be good, no exceptions. But it took me a whole 3 1/2 hours to remember that it doesn’t matter.

It’s a game, the goal is to have fun. Most of the 3 1/2 hours was just stress, having to restart missions over and over because it had to be just right. It wasn’t fun, and it was my fault. (Why am I even typing this?) So now, I’ll just try to relax and enjoy myself.

Precision Pistol is DUMB FUN.

How fitting

He awoke in some kind of temple, how long had he been out? The temple had certainly seen better days. The walls were likely tall and sturdy, but now, hardly any stood.

As he rose from the ground, he found a page. It was old and tattered, but it was likely still legible.

Curious, he read through what was still there. It intrigued him. Before his death, he wouldn’t have paid it any mind.

But something about the text on the worn paper gripped his attention. It was pleasant.

So he went out, searching for more. Learning more and more about what had happened while he was past tense.

The Heresy, how his love had betrayed the Imperium. The many MANY pointless deaths that followed. He would have to find her, talk some sense into her if he could.

As time passed, he’d find more and more pages. Some being torn and others shredded, which he was thankfully, able to piece back together.

They would be in other monasteries and abandoned towns on desolate worlds.

There were many obstacles in his path, but he eventually overcame them. His first few encounters with daemons were…unpleasant for both parties.

He had foolishly been accommodating to one of them at the start. That later lead to the deaths of a city he was staying in.

When he had finally come face to face with the monster again, he did not hesitate, it didn’t get nary a word out before it had been gunned down in righteous fury.

He learned to from his mistake. Every daemon that came in contact with him afterwards met their end at his hands.

He had found a bundle of pages at a mostly intact monastery that was at the edge of a town he had been staying at recently.

He was reading one of them when the door flung open. “Mister, MISTER!” A adolescent cried.

He looked up from the page.

“Th-They’re HERE! The monsters!!” The adolescent’s companion, a young woman named Maria exclaimed, out of breath.

He looked past them. And indeed, there were here. Daemons by the dozens. It was odd though, they usually all had the same color scheme.

These here, were an amalgam of them. There were the red ones and the pink/purple ones. Thankfully, the blue and green ones were not present.

Those two types were the hardest to deal with. The blue were clever and very tactical, while the green ones felt no pain at all, though they were all dangerous up close, the green ones were the worst. The smell was one of the reasons.

He rose and walked out the door, looking at his book one last time.

“‘Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me’” he chuckled as he closed his book and put it away.

“How fitting” Little Light said as he drew his bolt pistol and warp energy coursed around him as he charged the horde.

My progress

Hi, honestly it feels weird and embarrassing posting here, though this is my first.

I will say that in the past, it was multiple times a day, everyday. Then I’m like; ‘nah, not Sunday, that’s the Lords day.’

I didn’t even know it was a sin until quite recently. So it was prevalent. When I did find out and decided to take things seriously, I managed to go 3 days before falling. Then one day, then fall the next.

It’s not good and I’m not making excuses, but going from a chronic one to someone who’s trying to reign in lust in such a short time, I’m happy with my progress. It’s still a problem, but it’s not EVERY single day like before. And I’m happier.

I still fall, but I resist more and more.

Note that I will be deleting this post in a few hours, as I don’t want people who read any of my stories (if they can at all, despite having Reddit for years, I still haven’t looked into settings) and it’s kind of embarrassing and personal

What is a weapon you liked in ME2 that was nerfed in ME3 AND, what weapon(s) did they make better?

Now when I say nerfed, I mean in any stat, including the new weight stat that was added back then.

An example would be: Oh this weapon was good/ok, but now it just weighs too much.

I shall start: I think I speak for everyone who played classes other than Soldiers in ME2, the Kassa Locust.

In ME2, it was a beast, a thing of beauty. It carried some of us through the game. The damage was good, but what mattered was the accuracy. The Locust was the AR that was disguised as an SMG.

But…in ME3. I hadn’t used it until recently, on my Engineer. I was excited, being the third character of mine to pick up the Locust in ME3 and the first to use it. The memory of my ME2 run still fresh. I fired….and was heartbroken.

The workhorse of power classes in ME2 was reduced to a peashooter. “No, that can’t be right, surely it’s because it’s just rank 1.” I hoped. But alas, I upgraded it to 5 and added the barrel, and still just a peashooter.

I remember unloading an entire mag in spitting distance of a Cerberus soldier: didn’t even get them to half health. I even used armor piercing ammo later, didn’t help much.

And I remember the accuracy being better in 2 as well. I’ve tried going at a distance, but Ash and Garrus have ascended and have the Typhoon now.

Now, for a weapon I think they buffed: The Phalanx.

While they did away with the cool laser sight, I feel they made up for it with its high fire rate and its higher magazine size. It’s incredibly reliable as I have had it on all of my characters until I either got the Carnifex or bought the Paladin.

With its high fire rate, it shreds through enemies regularly. Not to mention the satisfying sound when you fire it

I really look forward to hearing your thoughts

Ranking the heavy melee of each class. (My opinion)

1 Engineer
Though I won’t use it a lot, I like the fact that you basically bitchslap the enemy in the face with an explosion

2 Sentinel
The double omniblade attack looks like you’re ripping an enemy in two. Brutal.

3 Vanguard
I know it’s just a biotic empowered punch and that’s cool and all but that would make it rank lower….if it only had one attack. You see, if you press the melee button/key while sprinting, you’ll use your heavy melee.

HOWEVER. I have noticed that instead of doing the biotic punch, the Vanguard jumps and punches the ground with a biotic punch/shockwave. The fact you get two different heavy attacks puts on points for me

Note: 1-3 are interchangeable, depends on which one I’m playing

4 infiltrator
Electrically charged omniblade. Need I say more. The only problem is I hardly use it.

5 Adept
Biotic balm strike. Not bad, I don’t know if it has a running attack, since I don’t play Adept, but I’ll put it here just in case.

6 soldier
A basic omniblade thrust. Nice and simple

Now I need to just put this out here: I’m not saying any of the classes are better than the others. I am NOT starting that war. I’m just giving my opinion on which heavy melee I like better

Joker appreciation post

This is a Joker appreciation post

Joker really is one of the crucial heroes in the series. Having rewatched the opening for ME2 for my Engineer run, if Joker didn’t act on his instinct/gut feeling, the Normandy would have been shot clean through the first time.

No survivors. Maybe Cerberus does revive Shepard, but everyone else is dead. All of them.

That means no new Shadow Broker and there’s no pilot skilled enough to go through the Omega 4 Relay.

We love Joker here

Can someone explain the Trinity to me

I know that God is the Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit, but how?

My best guess was it was God projecting Himself in 3 versions, but apparently that was wrong.

Is this something that can be explained to someone like me or is it something we can’t truly comprehend?

Or is it just: He just is?

I kept going over it in my head and my head actually started hurting.

Any insight/scripture is appreciated. I don’t really like believing blindly, but if I can’t understand it, I will, well, believe

Edit: So basically what I’m seeing is: God is God, He just IS

Bit of a dumb question: should I go ahead and make NG+ saves for my characters in ME2 or just enjoy 3 for now?

This is a quick question and I will delete it later

Edit: Decided to make one or two NG+ saves and clear some old saves to prevent me from going back

Edit 2: done with adding two Ng+. Honestly wish had had somekind of icon letting you know it’s a Ng+ Career. I don’t want to mistake it for a fresh run. Deleted the non Ng+ career of the first NG+ character. Regret it but oh well.

I’ll do the other two later. Now I’m going to sit back and enjoy ME3 for a while

Now after going through ME2 with 4 alternating playthroughs, I have learned somethings.

Things I’m sure are widely known, yet I still wish to o share them with you all:

Firstly: Omega has 2 of the best weapons of their classes: the Mattock and the Geth Plasma Shotgun. Once you have them, you honestly don’t need any other weapon from their classes.

2 Heavy Charge is the way to go. Until recently, my strategy as Vanguard was: Charge, shoot, hide, repeat.

Now my tactic is: Charge, shoot, fight, and when my shield/barrier gets low or breaks, charge a new enemy, repeat. It refills my shield/barrier and gets you out of danger if need be, but I just repeat the new process

3 I slept on the Shuriken. I would like to apologize, the shuriken is NOT the worst SMG in ME2. Mid to long range? It sucks, won’t lie. But up close, it’s a delete button.

4 Shockwave. Now I have heard that not a lot of people are fond of shockwave, but on the IFF mission, it is your best friend at the end. Unless you like being swarmed

5 Thresher Maw cheese. You don’t have to survive it. Eliminate it. The Cain is your best friend there. But to only get one shot unless you’re on NG+ so make it count. It can delete its armor with a single shot on lower difficulties and take a sizable chunk out of it on higher levels.

That’s all I can remember right now. Hope this helped anyone or acted as a refresher.

You see, Sunday I learned that there would be a concert at my church (it was a Ugandan choir performing) and I wanted to go.

Fast forward to the day of the concert, today, and I only remembered before pulling in home.

I immediately feel guilty because now, I don’t feel like going. I want to go, but I don’t feel like it.

I don’t recall making any promise to go to it, but I still feel pretty bad.

I could go to a concert at my church or I stay home and play video games.

My selfish foolish self has chosen the latter.

Playing some games has taken my mind off of it and I don’t feel as bad but I still feel bad.

Then I just open my Bible app and start reading some Mark. Instantly feel better.

Do I regret not going? Oh certainly. What makes it worse, I don’t live that far from my church. Like less than five minutes.

I could still go, BUT I don’t know if the concert is still going and I think I’ll feel ashamed to arrive late to such a gathering.

Will likely delete this as I feel shame and embarrassment while writing this post

Is there a difference between Believing Jesus is the Christ, the one true God and KNOWING it?

This might seem silly and dumb, but I’ve wondered this for a while

Growing up, I just accepted that ‘oh yeah, this happened, the Bible said it did so that’s what happened’ like it was common knowledge.

I know without a shadow of a doubt that the Bible is true. But then when people try to discredit the Bible and call it false and try to poke holes, I just don’t believe what they’re saying.

I have just confused myself, but I’m going to keep going.

What I think I’m trying to ask is: Is knowing the Word is true any different than believing it?

Here is a list of units I can fodder if I must
Chosen Alfonse, E!Lucina, E!Edelgard x1, B!Soren, Arcane!Soren x2, Bouquet Sharena, B!Gullveig, L!Male Corrin, B!Byleth, Arcane!Ophelia x2, NY!Baldr, B!Duo!Ike, Mythic!Tiki, Attuned!Alm x2, Arcane!Noire, Attuned!Timerra, Arcane!Vanitas, Attuned!Tiki, Tea party Céline, Sheltered Loner Bernadetta, Y!Camilla, Day of Devotion Veyle, And B!Eik

I just really want to use this units more

Ninja Gullveig is only there because I feel like she might be able to get a little more busted but I’m not sure.

Neph is here because as you saw, my fodder amount has increased so there might be something there for her on the off chance. I would have added Athena, but she has a very similar build to Neph rn

And sorry this a lot

u/Kosakon — 6 months ago

I want to improve some units I have as I really like their design, I have a bunch of units I can use for fodder and even made a list of them.

I have some screenshots of characters I want to improve but there are just so many.

I guess I could just narrow the list down on the units I want to improve rn

But the main problem is: I don’t know which flair to use. I know when it comes to unit advice and such that we use the Quick Question flair, but with the units I have for fodder and the units I want to improve, it wouldn’t be a ‘Quick’ Question anymore.

How should I go about this?

Now, earlier, I posted what the hardest/toughest line you’ve heard from a unit

Now, I’m switching it up

For context: you are just an average enemy soldier, no special weapons or skills, and you are fighting the Order of Heroes.

Then you hear it, the tale tell sound of a Special triggering: What is the most horrifying line you can hear?

I’ll start: “Bye bye intestines”

Who remembers the Mass Effect mobile game where you play as a Cerberus agent?

I remember that. Those were fun times. I remember you get to play as the Tyrian too.

When you beat the game, apparently your character can be added to your war assets for ME3

So I’m playing ME2 and doing Tali’s loyalty mission (4th alternating playthrough ) and I killed a Geth Hunter while it was invisible

When it died, it became visible in a T-Pose, then exploded.

That just happened a few minutes ago and I am highly amused.

No I don’t know how to recreate that, but I want you all to know it happened.

I was leveling up L!Black Knight, and I saw this line: “Make your peace. This blow will be your end”

I thought damn, that’s tough Then I remembered one of the hardest lines from I can remember: Fredrick’s “Pick a god and pray” when he uses a special.

I know there has to be more out there as I know damn well I don’t have all of the characters, so I have to ask: What’s the toughest/hardest line from a unit to you?
