Zakopane if not hiking

Hi All, im planning a trip in October and am hoping to do a day trip to Zakopane from Krakow. However i'll be travelling with parents who are getting up there, and the last time we went on a hike together I got an earful. But Zakopane seems beautiful and I would like my parents to see it, is it worth going if we don't hike?

Thank you in advance!

I actually think this game is fantastic, my thoughts as a newcomer scav

Preface by saying yea it's jank, and it still needs quite a lot of work. But it's breathtaking and refreshing to play something so within its own niche in identity and gameplay. I see a lot of posts saying it's lost its way or lost its vision but I disagree with that in some ways.

  • As with all creative endeavors things change, I think expecting the devs to hold fast to that unwaveringly is unfair. I like the idea of starting off as "not that guy" but being able to eventually build up to becoming something that can fight back against "that guy" is awesome. Otherwise it's a game where there is no progression and you can only ever hide from the bads, which imo would be very stagnant. The idea of building up this scav resistance or independence to be respected (with their own Mother Courage?) is very engaging. We're still 'not that guy' but we can fight him at least.
  • I really enjoy the gameplay loop, grind sure but isn't that kind of the point with extraction shooters? I think there can be more depth put in to each run but right now im loving it and im glad i can't blast through all the content quickly. That being said, i think in-game database of how and where to find certain items would be really good, loot runs should feel targeted
  • The original vision of a live RTS world that we scav through imo is still very possible, I don't know if that's still the vision but i wouldn't mind having things feels a bit less artificial with stuff spawning in as they do right now, i think even if maps stay instanced as they are now, would be really cool for actions and events on maps to affect others. I will say tho i saw a lot of complaints about tunnels and how they bog down the game, so the idea that those same players are asking for an open world where the traversal would be much more tedious is kinda oxymoronic.
  • Biggest things that need changing or improvement, right now as a newbie with only just breaking double digit hours, i would say the worst offenders are AI pathing/logic and animations. These art assets are amazing, the animations do not do them justice. And I wish the AI felt less like simple robotic scripts and had more life to them where each squad has some kind of goal on the map rather than just let loose with a "shoot at enemy unit" AI

Been gone for a while, are crushers like harder to kill now?

I swear it didn't use to take me 10 bolter shots to kill 1 crusher on Auric.

Pinning Fire, Puncture, Full left and middle Vet no stones.

Am i doing something wrong, did something change?
