Anyone know of a good plumber, or capable of, replacing a shower cartridge?

Moved into a new place and the shower head is leaking a pretty steady drip. Every other time I've seen this I've been fairly sure its the shower cartridge. The dude who set it up clearly just slapped one of those crappy showerheads with a hose that you can move around that also had a stop button. I hate those shower heads but when I put a new one on its just a steady stream. Very small stream but steady stream.

Problem is that the person who owns the house is a friend who is tapped. We both live here and just moved in but trying to make sure that we're not going to get catastrophically fucked over on a plumber cost.

Wondering if anyone knows of anyone decent/reliable who isn't overpriced to fuck? Ideally someone who can at least tell me what the problem is if it isn't a shower thing for something relatively cheap too.

Sorry, world is just on fire and everything is so damn expensive. Going to go back to the shitty showerhead after a single good shower here. Might just end up screwing the old one back on everytime after I use the good one until I can find a fix. I hate being poor.

When the fuck did St. John's become Cake City?

No, not CakeyHand. Me and a friend have been up in Toronto for the past few years. We moved back home to NFLD not long ago.

Past couple days we were out doing stuff and today we ended up at costco and almost crashed our cart. What the hell is with the ass on everyone that you could serve a drink off of?! Is it all the hills? The stairs? ... dafuq is happening here? Everyone in Toronto was flat to the point of seeing a nice ass was rare and to be appreciated but Costco was just a sea of ass. I'm a gay guy, she's a bi girl, so like everyone was being noticed on both sides of the aisle.

I don't even mean this like we were walking around being horny. It was like walking around being impressed by the amount of work put in but then getting REAL REAL CONFUSED by why there is so much ass. Like, there some gravimetric distortion going on here that bends glutes?

Windows 11 Keyboard/Mouse/Audio freezing upon attaching file

Yo.

So, I've found a couple of other posts online relating to this and have attempted to use their fixes but none have worked thus far. It has been happening for long enough that I've noticed some sort of pattern though.

The Problem and Pattern

The mouse, keyboard and audio will all suddenly freeze. The computer will still run, video will still play, but any waveform shows an immediate death of audio, as well as mouse and keyboard becoming completely unresponsive.

This only happens when I attach a file to either Discord or a Matrix Client. My guess is that it would happen in other places but I don't use them often enough for the factors to all come together. This also seems to happen nearly exclusively when using wireless bluetooth (with a USB dongle) headphones. By default, the audio is piped into a TV via HDMI and then the audio coming from a soundbar attached to the TV via fiber optic cable. It has happened at least once there.

The attaching of the file is not picky. It can be dragging/dropping from Windows Explorer or something like OneCommander. It can be from copy/pasting (although that happens less often). It can also be by manually picking it with the "Add a file" option. There is a brief, brief moment where the audio/mouse/keyboard will work after this which I know because I've been able to hit enter to send files but then have everything freeze or if I don't do it quick enough it just stays stuck.

Unable to restart the system safely, I've had to resort to killing the power via the button. If I wait, several errors pop (As a toast thingy in the corner, not as a main "Ok" error) after a few minutes saying that USB devices are not connected or can't be connected/accessed.

Attempted Fixes

  1. I went into the Advanced Power Settings and stopped the USB stuff from being able to be shut down.

  2. I went into Device Manager and turned off the Power Management option for both the Bluetooth Adapter and Network Adapter.

  3. Praying to every conceivable gods and several inconceivable.

Willing and able to provide any information requested before I lose my mind.

Has anyone ever gotten a response from MP Tom Osborne?

I've sent him 4 emails over the past few months, two being issues and two follow ups. Never heard back. I've left voicemail. Never heard back. I'm just curious if anyone HAS heard back or if its somehow a me thing.
