Rewatch

Started rewatching the show over the weekend.

It’s my second favorite show of all time, followed by The Big Bang Theory.

Always found my self relating to Ted.

Tyler’s old College

Tyler attended Asbury University in the early 2000’s. From what I understand he dropped out after a year.

One of my friends is getting married on campus today.

Kind of a cool bit of info to know.

My Story

I grew up with the MCU, saw Iron Man in theaters and subsequently every marvel movie till Endgame.

But when Iron man and the early movies were coming out, I wasn’t reading comics. It wasn’t until high school when I started getting interested.

And it wasn’t even superhero’s.

My friend and I had started making short film and were in the middle of doing a WW2 series. And I started to think about what we could do next. I thought Vietnam would be a fun idea. So I started diving into research.

Eventually I found an old news clip with Doug Murray talking about The ‘Nam. Naturally I wanted to check the comic out. I found a handful of issues and have been sparsely putting together the full run off and on for the last 12 years. I’m no where near close to finishing but it’s a fun hobby.

I met Larry Hama at my first comic con and had him sign a copy of issue #17. Michael Golden is coming to a local con in September and I plan on getting him to sign it as well.

I got the first omnibus on kindle and I started finally reading the book and it’s beautiful.

I’ve been heavily into the superhero stuff now but Th ‘Nam is really what got me started.

My question: how did everyone else start?

Top 10 Books

Curious what everyone’s top books they’re looking for?

I’m primarily focused on 60s, 70s and 80s marvel. But here’s my top 10 as of now.

Grail Score

I got one of my holy grail books today. First appearance of Apocalypse!

I saw X-men Apocalypse probably five time in theaters and it’s still my favorite X-men movie. It may not be the best but I adore it.

Having this book in the PC means so much!

80s Haul

I can’t explain why, but I adore Dazzler. I had a near complete run of her series a few years ago but sold most of my collection during covid.

X-Factor is just a cool cover and was eager to start reading that one.

Web of Spider-Man is my current series I’m getting a complete run of so just another issue for the collection.

Grail score

In response to recent events (if you know, you know) couldn’t ask for a better time to buy this book!

Nothing major, but a good one!

Remember getting a Walmart Spiderman to sign a copy that I eventually lost along the way.

Nice to have this in the PC once again!

Update: Louisville IceHawks jersey

Scored an original program book from the inaugural season and can confirm, this is a game used jersey from Defenseman Joe Tonello!

Louisville IceHawks

Picked this up the other week.

From the research I’ve been able to do, I believe this is from the inaugural 1990-1991 season. There is an America. Flag patch on the left shoulder, my only guess is that it was in honor of troops serving in Desert Storm at the time.

Haven’t been able to identify what player wore it though.

Louisville Ice Hawks

Probably my greatest thrift find ever. Game used Louisville Ice Hawks jersey.

My question is, does anyone know who wore #21?

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Great start to the sale! Ran into a couple old friends as well!

Looking for Co-Op partner

Haven’t had the opportunity to play Youngblood yet, and since it focuses in BJ’s kids, I think it would make sense to utilize the co-op option.

None of my friends have intrest in playing so I figure I’d ask here.

I play on Xbox.

First Playthrough

I grew up with the Walking Dead show at its peak. I was a very devoted fan on Sundays, and it's honestly the last TV show I consistently kept up with.

However, I'm not sure how I never got to playing the Telltale series.

I finally started, and I'm almost done with the first season, and it's been fantastic.

Please don't spoil anything in the comments. I'm so excited to play and see what happens.
