Phone Recomendation

I’m planning to buy a new smartphone in the 750–800€ range (Germany, online or in-store availability). I’m only considering Android (no iPhone).

My main priorities are:

Battery life: must comfortably last a full day under normal mixed usage, ideally with headroom for degradation over 4–5 years

Software stability: polished UI, minimal bugs, no aggressive gimmicks or inconsistent updates

Long-term usability: I want to use the phone for at least ~5 years, so strong update policy (OS + security) is important

Performance: solid mid-to-high-end chipset, smooth system performance; I’m not a heavy gamer but I don’t want lag or throttling issues

Overall reliability: I prefer “boring but consistent” over experimental features

So far I’m generally looking at upper-midrange to flagship “discount” devices rather than true budget phones, since longevity is the main goal.

Alltag im Studium

Hi,

Black Screen on Camera BUG

Hey everyone, I got my new OP15 2 days ago. Now, when I go to the camera app, out of nowhere, the camera freezes and has a black screen. I'm quite terrified to be honest. I alread tried doing the troubleshotting via the survival thread through the "Double tap to open camera" setting, but it still didn't work. I restarted the phone too but even that didn't help.

Software: CPH2747_16.0.7.201 (EX1)

Changing transparency of notifications

Hi, just got my new OP15 yesterday. As the title says, is there any option to adjust the opaqueness/transparency of these notifications while in dark mode? I would want them to be more tinted, they are currently a little too transparent for my liking. Thank you.
