Anybody here using this TV, what is the user experience like?
Any other TV recommendations in the 55inch range.
Have seen people recommending TCL but it seems to have several service issues.
My budget is under 70k and need it for bright bedroom viewing.
Only OTT and live sports, no gaming needs.
Looking to replace the TV in my mother’s bedroom. The room is extremely bright with bay windows.
Viewing distance is 7-8ft.
Only to be used for OTT.
My mother is an avid sports watcher so definitely not a TV where fast action looks clunky.
TV will not be used for gaming ever.
Budget: Under 70k.
I booked an apartment in 2018, helmed by a very popular lock brand that also has several other business verticals, with real estate being one of them.
The possession was supposed to be in June 2023 but was only offered to us in March 2026.
Since then, I have been asking them to pay up the delay compensation we are owed according to their very own builder buyer agreement and the company is refusing to do so.
They are stating that Covid and GRAP4 caused the delays.
Another person from the same building has already filed a case against them in RERA for the same and won. He was eligible for compensation worth ₹23Lakhs.
However the company is saying that they didn’t give him any compensation and are fighting the RERA order, though they are unwilling to tell us more details so we can verify their claims.
From a few real estate agents in the area i have found out that they are offering amazon vouchers worth ₹1,00,000 as compensation to the buyers and in return asking them to never raise this issue again.
I am yet to pay a few lakhs for the pending possession amount and am worried that they might cancel my sale as they keep threatening to do so.
Is it possible that I take up possession and then file a case against them in RERA Or does taking possession mean I cannot file a lawsuit against them?
My sister and I are surprising our mum with a Sri Lanka trip for her 60th birthday.
It was a very impromptu decision and I have not had much time to do a lot of research.
Our flights are booked, hotels are sorted.
However I need some recommendations and advice from you all who have recently traveled to Sri Lanka.
This is the itinerary we will be following. I will finalise further details based on any feedback I get from this post.
12th July - Fly to Colombo, land around noon
- Drive/Cab to our hotel in Nilaveli
- Visit Trincomalee, have dinner and chill
by the beach for a bit.
13th July - Pigeon Island snorkeling +/ whale
watching early morning
- back to the hotel to rest and change
- head to Fort Frederick and
Konneshwaram temple
- dinner , somewhere in trincomalee
14th July - morning yet to be decided, but either
visit the Maritime Museum and then head
to hike Diamond hill.

- check out and head to Sigiriya
From 14th July evening to 16th evening we are in Sigiriya, climbing the Rock Fortress and visiting the Dambulla cave.
We will also visit Minneriya National Park on either of the two days.
16th July evening - leave from Sigiriya for Negombo
17th July until 18th July afternoon - we will be in Negombo and the activities I have seen being recommended are
Now here’s what I need help with
Is it better to just book an Uber/Pick me for the bigger city transits and then stick to tuk-tuks for local travel or book a car and driver for the whole trip? Or rent a car ourselves. ( I have the International Driving Permit)
Can Whale watching and snorkeling be done in one trip or do i need to book them on separate days.
How much local currency would be needed for this trip?
My hotels are already paid for, so I wouldn’t need cash for that I assume.
Also, any driver recommendations?
Recommendations for safari tour operators in Minneriya, also any recommendations for snorkeling/whale watching operators.

My family and I are travelling to Sri Lanka in 10 days.
We plan on spending a lot of time by the beachside on the east coast and I was wondering if there are restrictions on what kind of sunscreen is allowed to be used that is much more safer for the local marine life than other typical sunscreens.
Are there any particular brands that the local recommend be used?
The brands we currently use don’t get tested for being reef-safe, so their packaging doesn’t indicate that either.
I would love to hear any good insights on this from fellow travellers or the locals here.

First 4 pictures are of one of my cherry shrimps that seems to have a mohawk of a kind, just a stripe of dull colour along his back which I’m pretty sure didn’t exist before.
The 5th picture is of another shrimp that also seems to have a yellowish patch, but this seems more inwards while the first shrimps colour change seems external if that makes sense?
Are they sick? Do I need to isolate and treat them?

I have a 10 gallon tank that I plan on filling upto 7.5 to 8 gallon capacity.
Looking for filter recommendations for this capacity.
I currently have shrimp in the tank and a nerite snail.
I will be adding some frogbit as a floating plant layer and want a filter that will not agitate the surface too much.

This is a planted tank and I am currently also working on creating a monte carlo carpet.
I want some Monte Carlo tissue culture for my planted tank.
