Eureka Forbes/Aquaguard service is Crap - do no buy AMC - Fraud by Service Provider - No help from Company

  • My troubles began in March 2026 when my local service provider called me to create a “service request” for my water filter, even though I didn’t need it.
  • The service provider created this request to get paid for “fake service.”
  • The service provider would call me for a satisfaction code without ever visiting.
  • I protested and refused the satisfaction code, but the service provider sent a technician to request the same code.
  • I protested again, and the technician did superficial service on my aquaguard filter.
  • I provided the service code and asked the service provider not to repeat this fraudulent service.
  • After the “fake service,” my machine started leaking, despite having no issues before.
  • I raised another service request, and a technician from the same service provider came and informed me that the tank had been ruptured during the “fake service” and that I would need to pay to replace it.
  • I protested, saying that I didn’t want the “fake service” and that I wasn’t responsible for the breakage caused by the fraudulent service request.
  • I asked the technician to make the necessary repairs, but he refused.
  • I created a new service request because my issue remained unresolved.
  • This went on for 30-45 days, during which time I informed the Eureka Forbes call center multiple times about my situation.
  • Each time, they promised to create a new service request and offered no other assistance.
  • After two requests, the local service provider stopped responding to the service request and stopped accepting my calls and marking the service request as “customer not at home.”
  • After three or four more service requests, during which the service provider fraudulently marked “customer not at home," I received another call from the Eureka Forbes call center asking if my request had been completed, despite clearly telling the call center representative that my request hadn’t been completed and not to close the ticket.
  • The call center rep canceled my ticket. What is the point of buying a Silver AMC when no service is being provided?
  • My water filter has been inoperable for over 3 months!
  • Now, I’ve been using market-purchased bottled water for over three months because of the incompetence and fraudulent activities of the local service provider and the unhelpful and nonchalant nature of the call center reps.
  • This has led me to believe that when a customer needs help, the company doesn’t provide it and forces the customer to run around in circles.

Best smart tv under 15k in india?

My family is looking to buy a TV and the budget is around ₹15,000. We don't need anything fancy, just something reliable with good picture quality and a smooth smart TV experience.

Main priorities:

Should last at least 3-4 years without major issues

Minimal lag while using apps like YouTube, Netflix, Prime Video, etc.

Good after-sales service and spare parts availability

Decent sound quality

32-inch size is fine

I'm currently looking at Realme TechLife QLED and Motorola QLED models, but not satisfied with user reviews.

For those who have owned or bought a new tv, which brand/model would you recommend in this budget range, and which ones should I avoid?

Looking for real experiences and reviews other than the specs comparisons, saw many reviews for many brands saying scam for these specs

AC

I was asking my dad to install ac in my room since I live in very hot area. Today he surprised me with godrej ac for 36k. Then I checked the same ac on Flipkart and It was available for 33k with card discount. I'm feeling sad for that 3k loss😭😭

LG T90KMMB32 (9kg) vs Samsung WA80F10E2LTL (10kg) – Which would you choose?

LG is available locally for ₹21k, while the Samsung is ₹23k on Flipkart.

I'm leaning towards LG for reliability, but Samsung offers more features (AI, EcoBubble, Wi-Fi, etc.).

My main doubts:

- Does 9kg vs 10kg make any real difference?

- Are Samsung's extra electronics likely to mean higher repair costs after warranty?

- Which brand/model is better for long-term ownership and after-sales service?

Would love to hear from owners of either model.

Don't buy Panasonic Ac's for your own peace of mind

Bought Panasonic 1.5 Ton 3 Star Wi-Fi Inverter Smart Split AC (Copper Condenser, 7 in 1 Convertible with additional AI Mode, PM 0.1 Air Purification Filter, CS/CU-SU18YKYWT, White) in 2023.

Used it for 4 months each in 23, 24, 25. it stopped cooling in 2026, called the panasonic customer care. The requested technician didn't come on time after several complaints. when i escalated they send a person who had no clue what he was doing. he didn't know what jet cleaning was, he couldn't find the leak, i requested for another tech and was given another appt. the tech never arrived.

I had to go for a local guy, who took Rs 5000 for gas filling and valve replacement. After 1 month today the ac has again stopped cooling showing F91 error.

My previous Ogeneral window was a racehorse and ran for 10 years.

This panasonic is just totally shit and the customer care of panasonic is worse.

It feels like we are being conned and fleeced at every step, you can't trust any service even after paying premium price.

{oh yeah, the panasonic tech was very proudly saying no ac lasts for even 5 years, we change the whole coil after 1 year in 70% of the units.}

Dishwasher Owners in India: Need Feedback on Hard Water, Rust and Service Costs

Hi Everyone,

I have decided to buy the Bosch 13 place SMS66GW01I dishwasher (currently around ₹45,000 on Amazon).

Before purchasing, I have two queries for existing Dishwasher users.

1. Hard Water Performance

My water parameters are:

TDS: ~800 ppm

Hardness: ~300 ppm

I have heard that Bosch dishwashers can handle water with high TDS/hardness (up to around 800 ppm) when used with dishwasher salt.

1a. What is the water hardness/TDS in your area?

1b. Do you use any external water softener (eg: Kent water softener, 15K INR), or do you rely only on dishwasher salt?

1c. Have you faced scaling, rusting, white residue, or any other issues due to hard water? If yes, how did you resolve them?

2. Repair and After-Sales Service Experience

I would like to understand the any type of cost during and after the warranty period.

2a. What is the technician visit charge?

2b. What repair costs have you incurred so far?

2c. What are the approximate costs of commonly replaced parts?

2d. How is the availability of spare parts?

2e. How many days did Bosch typically take to resolve the issue after you registered a complaint?

Any insights from dishwasher owners would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

LG OLED C6 or Sony Bravia 5?

Super confused because on one hand Bravia gives me exceptional control over image processing (read true colors) and motion processing but on the other hand LG’s OLED gives great clarity, almost 3D videos, and the most vivid colors

Chair recommendation around 20-25K

I need a new office style chair. I have a budget around 20-25k.

Was looking to get something with arm rest adjustment. Decent seat and good back and neck support. I have minor lower back issues so good lumbar support would be great.

I'm a very short guy about 5'4 so most chairs are usually a pain to use.

I don't sit for super long hours but when I do have work or when I play games I sit for about 2 hours before I take a break and return.

So far I've only been using some cheap office chairs and all have broken on me so I need something reliable enough to last a few years.

It's confusing because I see a ton of cheap chairs and while they seem decent I worry about reliability.

Then there are "gaming" chairs, I have tried a few and they definitely are super comfortable but I hear they have a ton of reliability issues and breathability issues with the "fake leather". I've tried some fabric ones and I hear they are better but in hot weather they still get very sweaty. But the feature set is attractive. With the recline and leg rest. I don't really have a sofa or any other seating so my chair is multipurpose, I use it for TV, PC and deskwork.

People have recommended that I buy used high end office chairs. But I can't find any reliable source for it and used chairs always come with their cons.

Any recommendations are welcome. Thank you :)

Samsung 2 Ton AC at 50k .too good to be true?

Planning to buy this Samsung 2 Ton Bespoke AI WindFree AC for my hall.

Hall is around 250–300 sq ft and kind of L-shaped, so need strong cooling and good air throw.

Anyone here using this model? How’s the actual cooling, electricity bill impact, noise levels and long-term reliability?

Also confused between Samsung, Daikin and LG in this range. Is the WindFree feature actually useful or just marketing?

Is there any catch here?
Like weaker compressor, poor copper quality, service issues, higher power consumption or just Samsung pricing aggressively?

Would appreciate honest feedback before buying.

I’m open to any good recommendations. Also if j were to buy a Sujata, how will can I use it there? Do they make a 110v version ?

Thanks

Update: I found that atomberg sells tavi specifically for US and Can and Ultra Mixer grinder also has 110v for US and Can .

Honest laptop guide for BCA students in India (2026) — no fluff, no paid recommendations

Quick disclosure — I run r/ApplianceReviewsIndia and links below are affiliate. I get a small commission if you buy through them, no extra cost to you.

TL;DR

Do you even need a new laptop right now?

If your current laptop runs VS Code and Chrome without freezing, you're fine for first year. BCA doesn't need a powerhouse from day one. Web development, Python basics, and assignments don't need a ₹90,000 machine.

Buy when your current one actually struggles. Don't buy because it "looks slow."

How to pick — read this before looking at any model

  • RAM is your workspace. More RAM means more apps open without freezing. 16GB is the sweet spot for BCA. 8GB will feel tight by second year when you're running Android Studio (the app for building phone apps) and Chrome together.
  • SSD is non-negotiable. An SSD is storage that opens files instantly — the laptop boots in 10 seconds, not 2 minutes. Every laptop in this list has one. If someone tries to sell you an HDD (old spinning disk), walk away.
  • Processor generation matters more than brand. An Intel i5-13th Gen and AMD Ryzen 5 are roughly equal for BCA work. Both are fine. Don't let brand loyalty make this decision.
  • Weight matters more than you think. You'll carry this to college every day. Anything above 2kg starts hurting your shoulder after a month.
  • Battery life = freedom. A laptop that dies by 2pm means you're hunting for a socket during your free period. Aim for 6+ hours real-world use.
  • Check if your college uses Windows-only software. Some colleges use tools for exams or practicals that only work on Windows. If yours does, don't buy a Mac.

The picks

ASUS Vivobook 15 X1502VA-BQ836WS — ~₹60,000 (as of May 29, 2026)

Best pick for most BCA students. Skip it only if you're dead set on a Mac.

You can have VS Code, 10 Chrome tabs, a YouTube tutorial, and WhatsApp Web all open — and this laptop won't flinch. The 15.6-inch screen gives you enough space to have your code on one side and output on the other without constantly alt-tabbing. Runs Android Studio without the fan going crazy. Keyboard feels comfortable for long typing sessions, which matters when you're writing assignment submissions at midnight.

Honest downside: The fan does spin up during heavy compilation tasks. Not loud, but noticeable in a quiet library.

Specs (for the nerds): Intel i5-13th Gen (13420H), 16GB DDR4 RAM, 512GB NVMe SSD, 15.6" FHD display, Windows 11, 1.7kg.

HP 15s fd0467TU — ~₹60,990 (as of May 29, 2026)

For students who want HP's reliability and a display that's easier on the eyes.

The anti-glare screen makes a real difference if your college has big windows or you study in a café. No annoying reflections. Runs all the usual BCA tools without issues. HP's build quality tends to hold up well through three years of college drops and bag squishing. Battery lasts a full college day without needing a charger.

Honest downside: The design is plain. No backlit keyboard on this variant, so night-time study sessions need a lamp nearby.

Specs (for the nerds): Intel i5-13th Gen (i5-1334U), 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, 15.6" FHD anti-glare display, Windows 11, Intel Iris Xe graphics.

MacBook Neo (~₹69,000- ₹73,000 standard / ₹59,900 with Apple student discount (as of May 29, 2026)

Worth considering only if your college is Mac-friendly and you use the student discount.

The battery life is genuinely different from any Windows laptop. People report 15–18 hours of real use, which means you go to college Monday morning, come back Tuesday, and it's still not dead. It weighs 1.24kg — lighter than most water bottles with a laptop bag. For Python, web development, and basic data science, it runs smoothly. The screen quality is noticeably better than most laptops at this price.

But here's the real talk: it comes with only 8GB RAM and you cannot add more later — ever. Windows laptops at this price give you 16GB. If your BCA includes heavy Android Studio work or your college runs Windows-only tools, this becomes a problem.

Also — if you're spending ₹69,900, some people in r/IndiaTech suggest looking at a MacBook Air M2 (16GB) which is available for similar prices during sales. More RAM, more future-proof for coding.

Honest downside: macOS takes a few weeks to get used to if you've only ever used Windows. Some college practical software simply won't run on it.

Specs (for the nerds): Apple A18 Pro chip, 8GB RAM (non-expandable), 256GB or 512GB storage, 13" Liquid Retina display, 1.24kg.

Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 Gen 10 (83HX009DIN) — ~₹87,990 (as of May 29, 2026)

For students doing AI/ML specialisation, or those who want this laptop to last through MCA too.

If your BCA has an AI or Data Science specialisation, you'll eventually run heavy Python notebooks, large datasets, and multiple tools at once. This handles all of that with room to spare. The OLED screen (a display type that makes colours pop and blacks look deep — much better for long hours) is something you notice immediately. 1TB storage means you won't be deleting things to make space for three years.

Skip this for regular BCA. The specs are overkill for basic web dev or Java assignments.

Honest downside: At ₹88,000, you're close to MacBook Air M5 territory. Think hard about whether you need this much laptop.

Specs (for the nerds): AMD Ryzen AI 7 350, 24GB LPDDR5X RAM, 1TB NVMe SSD, 14" OLED WUXGA display, Windows 11, 1.4kg.

Questions people keep asking

Is 8GB RAM enough for BCA?
For first year, yes. By second year when you're running Android Studio and multiple browser tabs together, it'll feel slow. If your budget allows, 16GB from day one saves you that frustration.

Should I buy a Mac or Windows for BCA?
Depends on your college. If they use Windows-only exam or lab software, stay on Windows. If not, Mac is a serious option — especially the Neo at the student price. But go check with a second or third year student from your actual college first.

Does it matter if it's i5 or Ryzen 5?
For BCA work, not really. Both handle coding, web dev, and assignments comfortably. Pick based on which laptop feels better to use overall.

Can I upgrade RAM later?
On most Windows laptops in this list, yes — you can add more RAM after buying. On the MacBook Neo, no — it's sealed and non-upgradeable. This is a real limitation worth knowing before spending ₹70,000.

Which one has the best battery for college?
MacBook Neo (15–18 hrs claimed) is in a different league. Among Windows options, the IdeaPad Slim 5 and Vivobook both deliver 6–8 hours of real use, which covers a full college day if you're not gaming.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Buying an HDD laptop because it's cheap. You'll regret it the first week.
  • Picking an 8GB Windows laptop to save money — it shows its limits fast.
  • Buying a gaming laptop for BCA unless you specifically plan to do game development or GPU-based ML. They're heavy, loud, and run hot during basic tasks.
  • Skipping the student discount on MacBook Neo. ₹10,000 off just for having a college ID is real money.
  • Trusting spec sheets alone. Check what second and third year students from your specific college actually use.

Ask me in the comments what your BCA specialisation is or what software your college uses happy to narrow it down further.

There a lot of products, not everything can be covered. If you have other recommendations, then tell us in the comments.

All the pricing are approx and as per may 2026, so in the upcoming sale might have lower pricing, or might be different. Look for the bank offers and card offers too while making a purchase to claim extra discount
