Invisible Woman vs Blue Marvel
Both have been called uber powerful...who wins?
Who is the guy in the middle that Magik summoned and what is he supposed to be? ( I am not up to date on marvel cosmic stuff)
Who is this guy? What's his deal?
Who in Marvel can come back from this Magik attack? what is the lowest tier where you assume they can automatically come back? (getting teleported outside reality)
Just curious who are the characters who can come back form getting teleported outside the end of reality? I think America Chavez can? ( what are the limits of her teleporation?)
Who do you think is the most popular x-character that won't make the MCU?
I like the Goblin Queen character but I'm not too sure I'll be seeing her in the MCU
Mutants vs humans seem silly to some new fans
A friend of mine got into X-Men this year and took a real liking to Magik, Madelyne Pryor, and all the Limbo lore. He had a lot of questions that I struggled to answer. For instance, he showed me a page where Belasco instantly incinerates X-23 down to her bones and immediately restores her to life. He also pointed out Magik’s origin stories—creating creatures, using necromancy spells, healing the entire realm of Vanaheim, and trapping Sapna’s soul inside the Soulsword. On top of that, he mentioned Madelyne raising the dead in the Magik solo series, Magik absorbing a sun to power a spell, and Manifold fetching a piece of a sun. After reading about the resurrection protocols, he was thoroughly scratching his head—wondering what they are even doing when they have two characters who know all of Belasco's spells.
He also asked why Magik or Manifold couldn't just teleport the Orchis Forge into the sun, especially since he’s seen both of them move the Peak (the giant S.W.O.R.D. space station). He also saw Magik teleport spores all over the planet into the sun. Consequently, he found the whole Orchis Forge threat a bit silly.
He’s been reading Sins of Sinister as well, telling me that this is what he believes the X-Men are truly capable of and the scale of stories they ought to be tackling—like Juggernaut giving Thanos a serious headache or Magik kicking Asgard into the void.
Now he’s itching to read Jean Grey's Phoenix solo run and the original Inferno, as he tends to prefer mystical and cosmic characters. Someone even told him that Iceman once froze Hell! He doesn’t even know the premise for the current Storm solo…
Ultimately, he’s baffled by how ridiculously powerful some of these mutants are, and he finds the everyday threats they face almost funny when considering their full potential. He has a hard time taking those threats seriously and feels that if the X-Men are going to play the victim card despite having so many god-tier characters, the stakes should feel genuinely cosmic—like the entire galaxy or universe uniting to stop them. He said the earth seems too small for the current x-men.
Magik and Psylocke
There were several comments comparing Psylocke’s fame (Hot ninja) in the 90s to Magik’s fame now (Hot demon girl) and how it was just primarily visually driven…and how they’re more trendy than iconic and there were arguments that Psylocke’s confusing history (body swap) prevented her from reaching the top of the x-men popularity. Betsy was red-hot in the 90’s but has cooled down considerably today.
What part of Magik’s character do you think will hold her back from being a permanent fixture in x-men comics? (If any) I know Magik's magical based power kept her from being in x-men stories in the 90's...could that happen again? I was kinda shocked how many fan art had them together...
Who are the x-men with best non-x men freindships
I know there's Beast and Wonder-man, Magik and Strange, Scott and Carol, Bobby and Spidey, Ben and Logan...who else is there? (None Romantic Relationships) Would you also like more x-men to have friendships outside x-men or do you prefer the x-men to keep to themselves?
Did Chris Claremont ever comment on Magik's current popularity? Did he ever say what he wanted to do with Magik after he stopped writing her?
Just curious what his vision was for Magik and how he feels now about Magik's current (all-time high) popularity? I know she was originally meant to be an Armageddon Maiden. I don't know if it was ahead of it's time but this trope seems to be popular now, which might also explain her current rise in popularity. (I know, I know...non fans will always say hot demon girl with giant sword and powerful magic and portals = the most anime coded marvel character = explosion in popularity) Was she the x-men's orignal armageddon maiden?
Which New Mutant/Younger x-man will be the next breakout star like Magik/X-23 or Jubilee?
It's really difficult but who will be the next young x-man character to breakthrough to the point that he/she would be getting solos, an constant spot on the main roster, breaking out into other media? Although I do feel Magik,X 23 and Jubes have different roles even if they're younger than the x-men 97 cast.
I was hoping it was Dani. She's gotten a push lately but I'm not sure if she can make to Magik/Jubes status. I didn't include Kitty because she was already part of the main team since the start. Armor? Surge? Berto?
