Where would you put a set of drawers?

Really simple question I know, but I recently built this workbench of my own design, I'm really happy with it but want to add a custom set of drawers and can't decided which side to put them on. Pic 1 or pic 2?

For what it's worth, the space where I don't have drawers i will store my drill press, belt sander, bench grinder, and a couple of other larger tools just to store them down there, and then take them out from under the bench and clamp them to the top whenever I want to use them.

Sliding metal vise dog

My vise has a sliding dog on it, but the way I've built the bench and attached the vise, the dog only sticks out about 1/4in above the vise. Is it possible to add some form of extension on here that makes it stick up taller? And can it be remoeved and replaced with a new one?

How would I go about cleaning this up?

Was given this old machinist tool chest that belonged to my great grandfather. Whenever I use it, I always end up with a black residue on my fingers that takes some effort to wash off. How can I restore this thing to get rid of all the dirt so that I don't get anything on my fingers, while also preserving the patina? I'd like to actually use it for storing my machinist tools, but it's also old, and I'd like to keep it looking old. Below I've attached a few more pictures just to show the kind of condition it's in.

One of the drawers. Suggestions on getting this felt to stick back down? Want to make sure some kind of glue or something won't soak through to the top.

Id also like to know where I can purchase a knob like this - one of them is broken

Bottom of one of the drawers. One of the drawers (not pictured) has a big crack spanning the entire length of the bottom. Suggestions on going about repairing that?

Out of curiosity, does anyone have rough ideas of when this thing was made? Also, does it look like something he built himself or just bought somewhere? I know he did woodworking as well, I have some of his old planes and saws.

Super stupid question but how do I deburr stuff?

Took a machining class in my 2nd semester of college and loved it, so i got a small manual mill for my garage. How am I supposed to deburr edges with a file? All it really seems to do is push the burr to the other side. I'm pretty much exclusivley making parts out of aluminum

Easiest Sieg X2 DRO system?

Recently picked up a pretty much brand new Sieg X2D Mini mill off facebook marketplace for, I think a great price. Whats the easiest/cheapest DRO I can mount to this? Id really prefer not to drill into the machine if possible. I can also 3D print parts. Not going for super ultra precision or anything.
