Hi everyonr from France,

I’m looking for a pizza Oven to a gift for my GF. It’s been a few years that she talks about it.

I did some research. This is what I’m looking for :

• Budget : 400€ and I can stretch to 500€ if it makes a huge difference
• Gas or electric (I’m not 100% between these two but I tend toward Gas)
• We won’t make pizza for huge party often. But it can happen that we invite some guests often
• I have a Garden :)
• Compact Oven like Gozney Roccbox, Arc or Ooni etc…

The Gozney Roccbox really check lots of box but I can’t find it in France 😔😢

Ooni ? Gozney arc lite ? Or do you have other recommandation.

Je galère a trouver une info assez simple sur le papier (ou je suis juste pas très futé).

J’ai une ordonnance de lunettes de 2019. Je suis allez chez optical center en 2022 pour refaire des lunettes.

Si j’ai bien compris, mon ordonnance datant de 2019 (sauf si le renouvellement de 2022 compte?), je ne rentre pas dans le cas de la dernière date de prescription d’ordonnance de -5 ans pour les 16-42 ans.

Dans mon cas, est-ce que je peux faire une renouvellement chez l’orthoptiste ou dois-je aller chez l’ophtalmo ? Je ne trouve pas l’info sur internet, doctolib n’est pas très clair et les orthoptistes de repondent pas au téléphone 😅

The Wifi coverage is not enough in my house even with a wifi repeater that comes with my internet provider box (Freebox for those who know). The room where my gaming pc is receive the worst signal. My internet box is in my garage where the fiber box is coming

I rent the house so I don’t want to make any « big » work.

So I have a few solution :
1 - Use a fiber extension to put my internet box outside the garage. Not sure if it will work
2 - Do a similar thing but connecting a wifi router to the Freebox and put it outside the garage. If needed. i will add a Wifi repeater/extension in mesh network
3 - Try a powerline socket and connect the gmaing PC to it. Pray for a good connection

You will say that number 1 is cheapest but I may have another problem… It seems that my 5 Ghz channel is full because my download speed is significantly lower when other people use the network. So a nº3 solution can improve the situation because my computer won’t be in Wifi anymore.

So solution nº2 can work too if I use a wifi router, because if I’m not wrong, it performs better and have better band capacity. If the powerline socket doesn’t performs well, it is my only solution.

Soooo, all the explanation to ask you this. I want, if possible, to buy European brand and Mikrotik is often recommanded. I’m not expert in networking but I know the basics and I can learn. Is Mikrotik a right product for my need of Wifi Router + Mesh network ? The product seems powerfull but quit intimidating.

I can learn but my use and needs are basic. To my eyes, it’s not worth to spend a lot of time to configure.

I'm looking for Wi-Fi Repeater / Mesh Set gear or even router with wireless to extend the Wi-Fi in my house. Some area are not covered properly and my 5Ghz band is full sometimes. I'm not 100% sure of the right gear I need right now but I'm looking for an eu-brand to see what prices and gear is available for my purpose ? Like similar to TP-LINK Deco or Devolo BE6500 for example.

Hello, I'm translating this post so sorry if some words are incorrect :/ (I'm French)

I have been renting for a few months in a house with one floor. The fiber entrance is in the garage, so my internet box is in the garage.

I tested the internet connection by connecting an Ethernet PC and it's near 1Gb/s. However, connecting to Wifi, I’m well below (not even 50Mb/s). After a few tests, I understood that in the garage it’s OK, but as soon as I’m in the house, the download speed is bad. I think the walls of the garage really reduce the speed. My internet box is not far away from my PC when I did the test.

To get reception at the top where the office is, I put a wi-fi repeater, which does the best it can because it already receives a reduced signal. I can play quite confortably, I have some latency/Packets loss at times but very fast and quite scattered over time.

What would be better? I imagine that I can’t improve the wifi waves coming out of the garage. I could buy a longer fiber cable and put the box outside the garage or doing the same thing but with a wi-fi router connecting through ethernet. Other option would be to put CPL with wi-fi and ethernet Port.

Update : A very strange thing happend since I wrote this post. I had a internet shortage yesterday (common with Free operator in France haha) and when it went up, I had a very good Wi-Fi speed (350 Mb/s in the whole house). However, i went to my house for launch break and my speed went down to 50Mb/s. As I write this post, I have 350Mb/s back again. I will try to test my ethernet speed when I see some difference, but I don't understand why my Wi-Fi speed would change this much though the day.

Edit 1 : I think I’m dumb… it may have something to do with 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz bands… maybe my computer switch bands for whatever reason… Why didn’t I think of this earlier.
