So I have done countless research, product reviews, YouTube, etc and am still struggling to decide how low of a startup cost I can get away with. For reference, I want to make dice boxes like the attached photo(I've done a few by hand and want something much more repeatable.). The slots are 1"x6"x1/2" plus four small magnet holes in the corner - the engraving on top will be done via laser. I will be using 3/4" red oak scrap. Would something like the 3018s/4040s I see on Amazon work? I appreciate any insight you fine folks could give.
