Why don’t I understand the concept of relationships?

I can’t access any support for selective mutism. I have medication (for social anxiety) but I can’t get SM-specific therapy or anything. I’ve tried, but there’s nothing. How can I do it myself?
Is there anything you’ve done for yourself, like exposure, to improve your SM? How did you do it? Is it even possible?
Hi, I’m a student and I’ve been taking Prozac for about 3 years now. I don’t know if it’s just me but I feel like it made me lose all motivation to get anything done? I used to be a perfect student, I cared so much about grades and putting my best into everything. Now I just kind of feel like nothing really matters and it’s a struggle to get myself to do anything. Could it be related to my meds or is it something totally different? Anyone had any similar experiences?
My parents live together. I don’t know why. My mum (hoarder) blames everyone else for the hoard. And I think my dad (not hoarder) believes her, to an extent. He knows she’s the hoarder but he thinks me and my sibling are to blame too. He has no idea what it’s like for us. I’ve begged him to just do something, and he said we would work really hard and it would actually get better this time. That was over two years ago. It’s only got worse. It’s all just false hope. I have no idea why he doesn’t leave her. It makes me feel crazy. He can’t possibly want to spend the rest of his life here?! Maybe he thinks it’ll get better when we (the children) move out. That never happens though, does it? Why does even he think it’s my fault?? Why can’t he just care about what it’s like for us?
Has anyone managed to get through to their non-hoarding parent? Can I persuade him to divorce her?? I don’t think they love each other anyway. I have no idea why they live together. My only hope of escaping the hoard anytime soon is if my dad moves out and I live with him. He works but my hoarder mum has been unemployed for years. He’s being held prisoner using his own earnings. Why can’t he see that?
I came out to someone as aroace out of nowhere and I’m not even sure why I told them. It was late, I was tired, and I said too much. They were accepting and everything but I just feel so wrong. Is this normal?
I’m a college student right now. Due to my own disabilities I can’t work right now and I’m so afraid I’ll never be able to. I don’t have any money or anywhere else to go. During term time I have college accommodation but coming back home to this in the summer is unbearable. I have no motivation to do anything, my degree is going down the drain because I’m just trying to survive and I can’t get anything done. What’s the point when I’m just going to be stuck living with my parents forever?? I’m just so fed up. I dont know how I’m going to do this for the rest of my life. Or even another year. I have no idea what to do anymore.
Hi, so I think I’ve had SM for basically my whole life. I never got help as a child and my GP have essentially said there’s nothing they can do for me. I don’t have the money to get help privately because.. I have SM so I can’t easily work. I feel like I’m just destined to achieve absolutely nothing. It impacts my life so much but there’s literally nothing I can do to be “normal.” Has anyone managed to get help as an adult???
