Can crying + extreme stress cause impetigo?

Basically what the title says. Most of my impetigo infections have been caused by kissing my bf and the friction that comes with that but recently I had a really stressful week that came with multiple heavy crying episodes and now my lips are swollen and red and tingling and I can only assume it’s the beginning of another infection :(.

I’m just wondering if stressful events like this can trigger a flare. Usually it causes nerve sensitivity but never to this extreme and I know stress and cortisol play a role in literally everything so I wanted to know if I have to add stress to my list of triggers. Really just done with this whole thing. I’ve had 6 impetigo episodes since September last year and I just don’t know what to do anymore I feel like anything is triggering it at this point.

Very confused over Rodri transfer saga

Ever since like March-ish when that interview came out that everyone misinterpreted it's been clear he wants Madrid. During and right after the World Cup it was still made clear that Rodri dreams of playing for Real Madrid so why all of a sudden is he supposedly joining Barca?

I'm looking on twitter and reports are saying that Rodri appreciated Madrid's offer and claims it was "unrejectable" and yet he seems to have rejected it if Barca are now the front runners to sign him. It's just all very strange. Was he using Madrid to get Barca interested? Was it originally to get a better contract? Was it just Spanish media exaggerating everything or blatantly lying like they sometimes do? I'm just having a hard time understanding how he's gone from Madrid to Barca in a few days when for so long he's only wanted to join Madrid.

How to deal with long distance as a severe anxious attachment ?

I (21F) have had anxious attachment for as long as I can remember. My BF (26M) is a much more easy going, go with the flow kind of guy and may get lost in his own world of things and forget to respond. Doesn't have malice intent but it does trigger me a lot (less to do with him and more to do with me I'm realizing)

Anyways, he's going to be away for a good portion of the rest of the year essentially across the world and I just don't know how I'm going to deal with 1. a long time away from one another 2. the time zone differences and 3. him enjoying the adventure of what life has to offer him while he's there and not having the time to talk to me. We've had our ups and downs and honestly the relationship has been far from perfect and I think that's reinforced a lot of my anxious attachment behaviors and thoughts.

He has every right to have fun. He has every right to not be glued to his phone all day while he's out enjoying life. I just don't know how I'm going to deal with those long periods of uncertainty and lack of communication especially since I won't get to see him weekly to refill our relationship energy levels. He's tried to reassure me that it's going to be okay but my mind just tells me I'm going to treat everything like an attack whether it be one missed phone call or a little extra time not texting each other or maybe he just doesn't show as much affection one day.

Does anyone know if it's possible for me to get through this? I don't want to cause our relationship to end because I'm so anxiously attached I can't go a day without freaking out if I don't get affection or a rapid text back. He's already shown it bothers him sometimes and I don't want to bring him down when he's genuinely having fun. Sometimes I even view him having fun without me as a sign he prefers life without me which rational me knows isn't true but irrational me can't shake the thought and I start to feel inferior.

Any advice works. Whether it's actions I can take to distract myself from the distance or advice on how to sit with these thoughts and not let them overwhelm me. Personal experience if any of you have gone through similar situations is also appreciated.

Did a dentist cleaning cause a gap?

Idk if this is a dumb question but I went to get a teeth cleaning yesterday and I now notice a small gap that forms whenever I don’t have my retainer on between my top front teeth. My teeth shift pretty quickly and I remember it being there when I first got my braces off (2 years ago) but it had to seemed to have fixed itself over time and stopped forming as quickly so i’m wondering if the dentist did something or if this is normal after a cleaning.

Dehydrated skin (drugstore options)

21F My skin is very prone to dehydration but i’ll have weeks where it feels fine and then dehydrated for the next 2 where it just feels tight and prone to redness. I use zinc spf specifically cocokind which i know zinc can be bad for dry, dehydrated skin since it’s an astringent but im sensitive to chemical filters and don’t rly like experimenting a lot with spf cuz i have sensitive skin and it’s expensive.

Are there any drugstore products or products on the cheaper side that i can use before the spf or just in general to keep my skin hydrated long term? I currently use the byoma rich cream and a cerave lotion together and at night i’ll use cicalfate but i’m sure there’s better options at least for the cerave. Specifically for very sensitive skin.

Lip Skin Barrier

Does anyone have a really sensitive skin barrier around the lips and know how to strengthen it and keep it that way?

Pretty much about anything irritates my lips and it’s gotten to the point where it’s causing secondary infections like impetigo because my skin barrier is unable to keep anything out. Then it takes forever to heal after the fact.

I use cicalfate and vaseline. I keep the routine super minimal but is it just avoiding things or is it possible to make my barrier stronger overall? It’s not even just products that cause it like even eating or kissing causes my nerves to fire and my skin to get red and irritated.

Reoccurring Staph on sensitive lips

This is gonna be kinda long so bear with me but I really need help.

I’ve always struggled with dry and sensitive reactive lips but never had infections or anything until September of last year when i had a minor reaction to olive oil on my lips and i got my first impetigo infection. Since then I’ve gotten it 6 times some from almost nothing but a lot have been triggered by kissing my bf from the friction and dryness that kissing causes. I had him swabbed for staph and it didn’t come back that he was colonized or something so the problem is most likely my own microbiome.

I’ve done nasal decolonizations, bleach baths, i hit it with mupirocin or cephalexin whichever my doctor prescribes and it usually goes away until the next irritant comes along and i’m right back to getting an impetigo flare.

Recently I only did mupirocin on the area cuz it worked before no issue but it came back a week after stopping 7 day treatment that seemed to have cleared it up cuz my skin was looking fine until abt 2 days ago. I’m assuming i’ll be prescribed oral antibiotics when I go in.

I’m just tired of this cycle. My boyfriend has suggested different essential oils or manuka honey but my skin is soooo sensitive that i’m terrified that these things could cause an adverse reaction. What scares me more tho is that this is just going to be my life moving forward . No matter how much I think i’ve healed my skin barrier it always comes back and I’ll decolonize and itll still come back. Has anyone broken the cycle specifically with sensitive skin? It’s not lesions it’s like bumps almost like dermatitis that forms on my lip lines and sometimes on my philtrum but that skin is so sensitive that i’m scared to experiment with different natural remedies. I’m losing hope at this point it’s so demoralizing to have to deal with this over and over again. I’m so careful about touching my face. I wash my hands. I clean my sheets and clothes after every infection I just don’t know why it keeps coming back.
