This is underrated

This is the opening scene of the first episode of S7, “The Hands of Time”, and it is definitely my favourite.
I think that season would have been my favourite season if it had maintained the quality of that episode.
Let‘s all act like we were Djinns/people who wish from them. I believe in you guys!
My take on this
Do you know The Lord of the Rings?
In the first book, The Fellowship of the Ring, there’s an interesting dialogue between Frodo Baggins, the protagonist, and Gandalf.
Gandalf first tells him about the One Ring, and he also tells him about a creature called Gollum.
Gollum killed his best friend Déagol for the Ring, and he lived in a cave, and everyone who came in the cave was killed and eaten by Gollum. Frodo’s uncle Bilbo barely escaped because he took the ring from Gollum (the ring makes you invisible).
When he hears about that, Frodo says that Bilbo should’ve killed Gollum when he had the chance to, because Gollum deserves to die.
Hearing about rape, we often act similarly, we say that the rapist deserves death and should be killed. It’s horrible when you think about it, but many of us see it as fair.
Gandalf admits that Gollum deserves to die for what he did, but then he says something very important:
>„Many that live deserve death. And some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them? Then do not be too eager to deal out death in judgement.”
He says that it’s not for us to judge about life and death, not for the common human. Because killing someone can’t be undone, unlike sending someone to prison
Someone dead can’t be brought back to life.
Concerning rape, we don’t know all about the rapist and their motives. And we also don‘t know whether they regret what they did. Humans don‘t know who is beyond redemption and who isn‘t.
So personally, I think people should absolutely condemn horrific crimes and punish them seriously, but being eager to decide who deserves death is dangerous,
especially in the internet.
