Maybe I'm the stupid one here...

My bf once accidentally sent me a voice note that was obviously meant for another woman. He was being really sweet in it, telling her not to worry and that she would do great with her presentation. I remember thinking... what presentation? I didn't have one that day. When I asked him, he told me he was sleep talking and somehow sent the voice note to me by accident. I wanted to believe him, so I let it go. The strange part is that shortly after that, he completely changed. He became distant, started acting cold, picking arguments and suddenly seemed to have a hundred reasons why our relationship wasn't working. Maybe it's all a coincidence, I don't know... but am I really supposed to believe that someone can sleep talk a specific, affectionate message to another woman about something that wasn't even happening? At this point I'm wondering if I'm being incredibly naive for still questioning it, or if I'm just refusing to accept what was probably obvious from the beginning. What would you honestly think?

Am I really supposed to believe this?

My boyfriend accidentally sent me a voice note that was clearly meant for another woman, he sound really warm and affectionate, saying something like “you can do it, you'll do great with your presentation.” but I didn't have any presentation that day... when I asked him about it, he said he was sleep talking and somehow sent it to me by accident. I actually tried to believe him. Maybe I was just being suspicious for no reason...

Not long after that, he suddenly changed 180 degrees. He became cold, distant, started picking fights over little things and eventually kept finding reasons to end the relationship. Now I'm sitting here wondering... can someone really sleep talk something that specific to another woman about a presentation that isn't even happening? Or am I just being stupid because I don't want to admit he was probably lying to me? Honestly, what would you think if this happened to you? :(
