Anyone thriving without synthroid?

37y/o female here. Have been on synthroid brand for 6 years and I would like to come off. I eat pretty healthy, am gf, and try to do the things my body needs/loves. Synthroid and going gf has helped most with brain functioning and mental fog.

Hoping to hear success stories of coming off thyroid hormones.

Other than Cunningham and Greenbriar, where’s a good place to picnic by the water?

Party of 15 or so for my mom’s bday this Saturday. She wants to pick up crabs/seafood and be by the water. Any hidden gems we should consider? Ideally picnic area/seating w trash cans, beautiful atmosphere, quieter, and in or around Frederick.

Tv shows while recovering from gallbladder removal

4 days post op. Need a good, captivating show to watch!

I’m still feeling pretty run down. Went on a walk this morning and by the end of the 20 min, I felt like I couldn’t take another step. I know some folks recover faster, but my body wants to be still. So I’m listening.

Can’t find a really good show to watch - any reccs? I’m talkin, Breaking Bad-like, binge worthy, can’t stop watching type series. Have watched all the top rated shows so hoping for some hidden gems.

Removed gallbladder and constipated

It’s almost 4am where I live, and it’s not an emergency, so I’ll have to wait to talk to doc during office hours… but should I take laxatives for my constipation? I didn’t have a BM morning of surgery, haven’t taken any opiates in 14 hours, and I am STRUGGOLING. Cannot seem to get comfy anywhere and cannot release any air/BM. I did take Tylenol and like 1/8 of a unisom before bed (yes I know it dries ya out, but I just wanted something to help me fall asleep).

What to do?!

Does it make sense that hyoscyamine would improve gallstone pain?

My CT scan showed I have gallstones, and all of my symptoms point at gallbladder attacks. However, three doctors are resistant to agree that it's my gallbladder since hyoscyamine has improved my symptoms.

I've tried every other medication under the sun for acid reflux (PPIs) and IBS.

I've been identified as "in the gray area."

None of the doctors I've seen considered gallstones. My symptoms are extreme pain in upper abdomen that radiates to right shoulder blade. I did not have constipation until one insisted I try nexium - I'm off it now after 5 months, and now I have constipation and irregular bowel movements. I have a list of several confusing things doctors have done. None of which included a scan of my gallbladder.

I had to demand for one. And I feel like doctors are resisting agreeing that my symptoms are related because they didn't come up with the idea.

I am not asking for medical advice. Here because I'm wondering if doctors believe hyoscyamine can in fact help with digestive pain related to gallstones.

Disclaimer: I got my clutch changed less than a year ago. Almost 100mi on the car but not quite.

Check engine light started flashing today. Prior to I smelled something burning but couldn’t pinpoint if it was my car, I was going 65-70mph. After a while I noticed when I tried to accelerate the car started shaking. That lasted for the remaining 20 minutes of my drive home - hazards on the whole way. All three times I had to stop before getting home, shifting into first gear and accelerating was shaky and I couldn’t tell if I was going to make it home.

I know that my serpentine belt is due for repair but I called the local shop and they said it’s likely unrelated based on what my car was doing.

What could it be?? Taking it in first thing in the morning but hoping to understand what is going on. I am not a car person.

Edit: should’ve said that the car is a little shaky when stopped.

10 years ago I had what I now assume was a gallbladder attack. I’ve seen four gastroenterologists, gone to ER three times, had three endoscopies, a colonoscopy, and numerous blood tests. All over the course of 10 years. Some periods of less pain, but over the last year, I’ve had consistent pain. Every doc has put me on PPIs. I tell them they don’t work, they tell me to try a different PPI OTC meds for IBS. Only last week did a doctor agree to a CT scan to rule out gallbladder after I basically begged to be heard. I’m 37f.

Turns out I have gallstones. Doc agreed to refer me to surgeon to remove but hesitated, questioning IBS as the source of my symptoms.

Symptoms go like this: I eat, I have excruciating pain in upper abdomen that then shoots to area under right shoulder blade, only dissipates hours later. Again, I’ve had periods of absence of pain, but when the pain is present, it’s always the same. Right now, I basically cannot eat anything without pain.

I also have some different bowel movements - specifically regular loose pale stools and some constipation. Bloating also is a regular for me.

I am worried at docs hesitation. My symptoms do not feel like IBS. When I say excruciating pain, I mean I cannot sit - constantly wiggling and pacing until the pain goes away. If I have gallstones, and lots of people have

Curious what others think hearing this? I mean idk what I’m looking for. Just don’t trust these docs and hoping for better understanding.
