Endlerguppy males

This is all I’m working with atm, they all look amazing! There’s also two Silverado males that’s just now starting to color up not worth showing atm. All those bluestars carry Silverado blood, that Silverado male carry some bluestar blood, and ofc the orangeline hybrids with the f2 having Silverado blood. Shows Silverado females cranks up the iridescences, the bluestars are def tone shifted not the typical deep blue sheen compare to pures. Oh and the black bar male that lost his deep melanophores but still showing freckling weird but cool!

Orangeline endlerguppy media

F1 male who’s (Rio Morichal - Orangeline Guppy (M) x k-class Bluestar Endler (F)). Unsure if that’s his son but that F2 is (F1 (M) x P-class El Silverado (F)). Stripe broke from F1 to F2. I wanted to wait till he was fully matured but he hasn’t really changed since I lasted showed him. His body frame is quite petite and slender which I like. Sort of wish he kept the line like the F1’s and pures but can’t complain his spots gets bold when fully color up. Eventhough I took a bad angle of him you can see his phenotype well, not in the pic ofc but the flashlight light shining on his orange lines also gives off the magenta hue like in the pic of the F1 male. As for the F1 male he’s showing some signs of aging his body is slight hunched when he relaxes.

F2 Humpback Tiger Liberty Limia hybrids

Humpback Limia (M) x F1 Tiger Liberty Poecilia hybrid (F)

(50% Limia nigrofasciata, 25% Limia islai, 25% Poecilia salvatoris)

They didn’t want to cooperate with me and flex their bars🥲. When colored up their bars looks pretty nice just couldn’t get it on camera. They are showing more Nigrofasciata body shape, deep chest cavity and sloped heads. The black dorsal trait from Islai is still dominant and with the Nigrofasciata blood being majority the saturation looks nice with a slight yellow hue to it. Unsure if Salvatoris blood will make the fins tinge orange/red but I’ll see. They look very promising I’m just more curious on how the dorsal will be shaped when they are more mature.

Chromosome wise any males will be Z for Nigrofasciata and Z for either Islai or Salvatoris, as for females Z for Nigrofasciata and W Salvatoris.

F2 Tiger Liberty Limia hybrid media

Tiger Limia (M) x F1 Tiger Liberty (F)
(75% Limia islai, 25% Poecilia salvatoris)

Little one picked up a lot of size since I last showed it. It’s iridescent starting to come in, it’s like a soft blue/green/white nice combo of both species involved in it. The bars thickened up more, looks more broader. It’s dorsal is nice starting to look rounded like Islai with the same black trim. Like with pure islai it can control the intensity of the bars and most of the time it keeps it translucent, so it’s hard to catch it on camera with his bars boldly expressed.

F1 Tiger Liberty Poecilia hybrid females

Lovely ladies. They’re giving me the most issues when it comes to fertility and giving me fry. But tbh I think it’s mostly the Limia hybrid males not showing much interests with them. But yea once I get a batch of fry from the Limia hybrid males ill retire these ladies and the limia’s for good.

Limia (islai x tridens) flashlight media

I really like their sparkly iridescences. They all sexed out ratio is male heavy over females. Still waiting on the males to hit the tiger Liberty females. 🫠

New set of F2 Tiger Liberty Limia hybrids

Limia (nigrofasciata?) Male x F2 Tiger Liberty hybrid Female

One of the female tiger liberties finally gave me fry, but just these 3. I still suspect they suffer from reduce fertility or maybe I have too many females to male ratio ontop of them dropping their first ever batches causing this low batch counts. Idk I’ll wait till they color up and take pics later or in a few days but they don’t seem to be backcross to islai, one of the fry has bars that’s close together instead of spaced out like the first f2 juvenile the other two has different bar count. I suspect the father is the nigrofasciata, these fry is quite big for newborns and the body has some depth to it. The dorsal I really like thicker black trim, with a yellow base. Once I’ve confirmed they are either F2 to nigrofasciata I’ll try to rehome him. They should be (50% nigrofasciata, 25% islai, 25% salvatoris).

Anyways the bars will give me a better idea what they are, I don’t think they give off traits showing the father could be the (islai x tridens), not seeing any tridens trait then again if they were it’ll be at 25% blood tridens trait would be recessive. If they are then they will be 50% islai, 25% salvatoris, 25% tridens.

Lendler media

Haven’t shown him in awhile but Chunky boy is the last one left his brother passed away awhile back which sucks. He’s living his best life in the tank

F2 Tiger Liberty “Limia” hybrid

Tiger Limia (M) x F1 Tiger Liberty hybrid (F)
(75% Limia islai, 25% Poecilia salvatoris)

It’s growing quite nicely I really like it. Unfortunately just working with 1 juvenile. I’m hoping the F1 Tiger Liberty females give me fry soon they should be more backcross to islai. I also have the females with a single Limia nigrofasciata male, and a couple F1 Limia (islai x tridens) males. I do want F2 fry from the hybrid limia’s and the nigrofasciata before I can retire the ladies and my limia’s and focus heavily on F2 gen. Seeing this juvenile is Limia leaning he ofc shows the bold islai striping, black dorsal, and slight lean body form, while having the salvatoris narrow penduncle. I’m more excited to see how it’s mature form turns out to be. Also hoping it’s a male, plan to cross him to my F3 Blonde Liberty females and to the other F2’s backcross to Limia female .

F2 Tiger Liberty “Molly” hybrids

F1 Tiger Liberty hybrid (M) x Liberty Molly (F)
(75% Poecilia salvatoris, 25% Limia islai)

My Liberty females keeps popping out more F2’s. More than what I want, but it’s fine. Going to just keep females from them as backups for my project. As I wait for my female Tiger liberties to give me their version of F2 fry backcross to Limia, which I want to use for breeding. For now plan is to backcross the future F2 females to pure Liberty that’s about it. They do look very nice better than F1, they still maintain the islai black dorsals (some showing spot markings on the fins not seen in F1), and copper toned body. Something I’m looking for in my project. Stripes is translucent worse than F1 but I don’t mind it with them that can be fixed, looks to be that it’s a recessive trait now over incomplete dominant.

Poecilia obscura fry

3 of them. I fully lost hope keeping this species but thankfully my last obscura female gave me fry🥲. It make sense why I never saw fry from them… they are super tiny even smaller than newborn endlerguppy fry, and always got eaten smh…

F2 El Silverado male

Man these guys gives me a hard time. Not many make it this far in growth. I have to keep culling weak spine offsprings, and skinny ones that usually just waste away. He looks like a solid male, and 2 more just starting to show color in the colony.

K-Class Blackbar Male

It’s the same Blackbar male I’ve posted here this past few months and since like 2weeks ago I noticed his back half was losing melanin getting pale/blonde. I went on vacation for 10days and just came back and dudes fully pale. No signs of sickness, or possible stressors? Maybe trauma stress cause him to lose his colors idk. He looks almost blonde golden base, and his eyes are still black. My colony does have distant blonde guppy ancestry, but he wasn’t born this way so he’s not a throwback. His father was a k-class blackbar and mother was a uhh F1 (F2 Male (bluestarXblackbar) x Female P-class El Silverado). He still shows specks of melanin when he’s active vaguely can see in the current pics, but literally looks like he’s gotten vitiligo lol. To add no he’s my only Blackbar male I decided to keep in my tank when he was very young. His dad passed away before he was born.

Allow Ai media (full ai, enhanced ai, etc)⁉️⁉️

As the title says gonna do a poll so it won’t be a big issue down the line. I didn’t think it would be an issue in the sub, but bc of reports I’ll make a poll on it. Should we allow Ai media in the sub of any form. If “yes/neutral” I’ll make a rule with specific criteria’s to allow it, as it needs a post flair, and the title indicates it’s Ai influenced. If “No” there will be a rule to ban any type of Ai medium, even if it’s for educational/informational purposes. This affects mods too!

Sorry I’ll make it a 3 day poll bc I’m busy atm and gives me time to type out any rules needed and give members a chance to vote on it.
