Finally watched The Furious last night here is my mini review

Watched it last night finally and yes loved the movie but how the fights ends was really a what the fuck ending....This movie deserved a better and more to the point ending not this.

I also had the usual problems with Sonomura's choreography in the final fight (the fights before it were actually good) as I missed some actual fighting it was like the first 2 Baby Assassins movies a lot of running and holding body limbs but an actual hit or kick in the face was something that I wanted to see and to many times when u thought something ws coming it was just missing completely. Still the final fight was really entertaining to watch and some crazy shit going on there how they all fight around each other.

I also felt Brian Le coming back felt as something of an afterthought as the way he goes out at first you think this is it and then when he woke up the whole cinema was in laughter (one person even screamed ''get the fuck out here'' that got people even more laughing about the scene) I guess that's not what the dir was aiming for.

Something I was a bit disappointed with was how Joey Iwanaga never goes in Ken Lo mode (as people have been talking about him after this film and I knew the dir wanted him to be the classical kick master I just missed any showy kicks or even better a rapid fire of kicks now I felt it was kinda basic what he did) still liked the guy he got my attention in Enter the Fat Dragon in the final fight with Donnie Yen so was really hoping him to go all out here.

Another small nitpick was the Eng dubbing for all the sup actors it wasn't terrible in the sense it bother me too much but its notable would have been better if the sup cast or spoke in their native language (but for some reason the Thai were dub in Tagalog as the sup cast & movie was shot in Bangkok) or let them talk English. Now everyone talked perfectly English u could see it wasn't their voice.

Even so I feel this are just minor nitpicks as again I did enjoy the overall movie best time in the cinema in years. Also something people not name too often Xie Miao was great in his acting as he expressed all the emotions with his face. Same goes for Joe Taslim he really has a lot of charisma. Also all the child actors were great the girl Yang Enyou was already great in Eye for an Eye 2 but here she had also a lot of charisma especially later in the movie. Also the abuse and injuries kids get here is something to applaud the dir Kenji for not being scared to show this more raw violence bits.

The plot was also good, basic but to the point and never a dull moment.

Surely among my favorite martial arts/action movies.

Yang Enyou outside of being a good child actress, she was one of the highlights outside all the fighting in The Furious & Eye for an Eye 2. She also easily learns martial arts, imagine if she would dedicate herself to learning martial arts she could become a future action star.

Mission: Impossible Fallout this fight is really underrated but so good really. All 3 actors are great here Tom Cruise, Henry Cavill & Liang Yang

I was wondering is Wangxian Valley in Northeast Jiangxi as beautiful as this video (nowadays u can't be sure with AI) but also can u capture the same beauty of the place if u don't have a drone for example?
